Can we sort the bitcoin addresses according to their BTC value? Which bitcoin address has the most BTC?
As far as I know, all transactions are already recorded. Then I think we can sort these addresses by their BTC value.
Any ideas on this?

I don't think this is possible to find out. As wallet contains lots of address so it will be difficult to trace out which wallet belongs to which address.
The other question which comes in my mind is that a Single wallet can contains how many maximum addresses ? Any Idea ?

Why should this be important? I am asking seriously. Besides to know what the winning price is for guessing a private Key could be i see no reason to know this. Someone can have more then one wallet, so you can not say the holder is the richest or whatever.

I think so. I mean what is the benefit of knowing address that has the most bitcoin? will it bring benefit for us? probably yes if you write it on a blog that will give you money when many people click in it. but it will not much I think. so after see the link to the information about the address, I think that is enough.

Can't remember the address since I didn't bookmark it but it had more than 320k bitcoins in it with more than 19k transactions which shows how really people trust the blockchain safety.

Knowing the richest address is possible. I will no longer post the link since others have already posted it here. The owner of that wallet being not known to the public is a good thing, it will serve as a protection and security to the owner of that btc. They should hide themselves so they will not place their selves  in danger.

Can we never know who this address belongs to? Is it impossible to find the addressee's identity?
It is probably Satoshis personal wallet.  Wink

I thought might be his address Smiley
But satoshi is smart. He does not keep all his bitcoins in a single address. He keeps them in different addresses in a way that people can not notice.

It is probably Satoshis personal wallet.  Wink

I doubt that, as we had a transaction just a few days back. From what I recall, the satoshi suspected personal wallet addresses haven't had any transaction since 2010. There also have been other addresses with more bitcoins in the past.

Its indeed hard to tell but most likely its not from him/her, I think that its someone else with a lot of money..

Definitely not Satoshis wallet.

It's really intriguing though to wonder when or if any of Satoshis coins will have any movement in the future. I'm sure a lot of speculation will arise if that happens.

No doubt these addresses with a lot of coin and recent transactions probably belong to an exchange of some sort. Especially when it's a multisig address.

-snip-
satoshi has more than that he have at least 200k satoshi, that address probably belong to an exchange? i can't see any other behind it at the moment, or maybe the twins?

IIRC Bitstamp holds at least 100k in cold storage, that number is a bit old though so they might hold more now. They might also moved the funds to several addresses each holding a lower amount, which would make sense from a security perspective.

unless the owner of a bitcoin address tells us we have little to no way of finding that out.
what you can do is to search all the addresses that sent to or received bitcoin from the said address. you can find out if there are any other addresses linked with the said address (used both in same transaction as input) then find out who those addresses belong to and find a possible link between a real person, possibly a service like an exchange and those addresses.
