This is a challenge. Bitcoins have always been challenging to get. It is like trying to buy information from someone else's computer and enter another dimension. Altcoins are even harder to get. First you need to get Bitcoins in order to get an altcoin (alternative cryptocurrency), such as Litecoin, or Mintcoin.

I will suggest that you buy the bitcoins from exchange like btc-e they also accept USD deposits from a number of e-currency processors.

I use uphold for buying, pretty easy once you're verified. other than that, use bitcoin.de Smiley

A good broker with small service fee and good exchange rate is coinbase but follows strange practices (there are many complaints that is tracking how users spend their coins). I was surprised when I read from Shorena that localbitcoins does not operate anymore in Germany. Maybe you could use the trading platform of Paxful but I can't say anything because I have not give it a try. Take a look here https://99bitcoins.com/review-paxful-vs-local-bitcoins/

you can try some trusted users with +1000 trades in localbitcoins
also with postive feedback

Yes, Localbitcoins would be trusted medium of having trade always. Once thing we need to check the trusted traders and while having trade we need to careful in releasing bitcoins.

Localbitcoins is no longer operational in germany and bitcoin.de is the only german exchange unless you count things like mycelium local trader or going to a random meet up and asking people.
Thats interesting. Germany will be left behind bitcoin revolution i see.
Too bad for them. Try international exchanges, bitstamp, coinbase (not recommended) or btc-e

I'm surprised when I read the OP. So, there are no other options like send money to your bitcoin wallet directly from your bank account or by exchanging fiat in a convenience store?

i also suggest bitcoin.de - german site. Only site where i bought bitcoins. Bitstamp should also be ok. But you will need to send them your documents (ID/passport and utility bill.)

I Suggest you to Use Coinbase and Localbitcoins Because I have Used them I Felt Very Comfortable By Using them and Mostly I Buy Bitcoin From Localbitcoins.com Because there are Users available for Buy and Sell Bitcoins So No Need to Send Money to The website owner and also they are safe and trusted.

Bitpanda is from Austria but their quality and strict management is the same as in Germany. It's very easy there actually as they accept all major payment processors. Once you verify your email you can buy up to 1000 Euro worth of bitcoin per day. If you verify your phone number than this amount increases dramatically. It's a really good option this one and of the safest so far.

BTC-e. Find a way to add some money on there (several options) then buy coins...usually cheaper than the rest of the market. They have been solid for a long time now.

they're the cheapest because their fees are the highest and it's painfully slow to get any money on there. you have to go through a third party.

i'd go for kraken myself but bitcoin.de is a good option too.

There are Many Btc Providers Out there and you can choose from them and I will provide you a list of them:-
1) You can Buy Bitcoins from Coinbase If you want to buy with credit or debit Card.
2) Or If you want More Payment options then you can try out Localbitcoins.com

I don't know any german website for purchasing BTC but I used to use bitfinex before the hack, I think its still safe right now to buy there but if you are buying a big amount then you should really spread to 2-3 exchange instead of one.

I like to use coinbase because it is linked with my bank and I can buy or sell instantly and most trades are done within 3 - 4 business days.

Id say coinbase since you can buy btc with a credit card instantly with pretty decent daily limits.
They also teamed up with paypal to allow paypal cashouts that are pretty quick.
They have? Shocked
Well there goes my little btc to paypal side exchange business. Cheesy

Yeah it kinda just came out of no where, many people still haven't noticed it launched.

If Austria is close enough(they service all of Europe so it should not be a problem for you being in Germany) then you might want to check out bitpanda they allow you to purchase bitcoins as well as sell but you need to be verified to do that.
