Blockchain, it's not that secure to use an online wallet though but I got used to them (and just putting the bitcoins I will be spending soon in there).

I use Bitcoin Core with the complete blockchain on my computer.

The only downside is that nowadays it takes nearly 10-15 minutes for the wallet to open.

It's quite annoying. Is there a way to speed this up?

I open the wallet nearly everyday to download the latest blocks. But time on time again it takes so long for it to open.

I downloaded the latest 0.10.0 Bitcoin Core update and the wallet now opens in just 30-60 seconds  Grin

What a difference, much needed update.

I use both blockchain and coinbase but coinbase has not been so good as it does not transfer to my bank account and does not transfer few bitcoins to another account. I also have a xapo wallet but the transaction fee is about 10% of the amount you transfer.

How does Coinbase work with your private keys? Is there a way to view/export them?

A big NO. We can only tell them where to send the BTC and how much. Undecided

Coinbase has a multi-sig wallet too.

Im gonna give Bitcoin-qt another chance now that they've updated it, hope it doesnt kill my pc this time.

you need to understand that using bitcoin-qt requires downloading the whole blockchain, where clients like electrum or multibit do not need the blockchain. Blockchain current size is around 40GB

I would not use blockchain.info to store any bitcoin.

but fee counterwallet to send btc 0.0005

That is for counterparty assets, right?

hello every one can you please tell me about
What about blockchain info is its also good site to safe my btc ?

Yes, it is! Don't make paper backup using their function, check the url before entering the credentials and make a backup of individual addresses. If the site goes down and you want to send some BTC, you can import the address you want to send from, thus, no exposing other private keys.

But I recommend GreenAddress.

Thanks MZ... every one is recommending me to use GreenAddress but i dont know why im not going for this. Im still using blockchain info and coinbase. I think im conscious about the btc i have or GreenAddress is difficult to use

Really? I sent the bitcoins just 2 days back and so soon they removed the transaction fee?   Undecided It's good then as blockchain is doing better and Xapo is just new.

I haven't used Xapo for some time now. They used to charge a small fee. Can you tell me how much amount you sent?
