My portfolio contains several coins but the predominant amount is bitcoin and ethereum. I constantly monitor the price and fix profits when necessary.
The best two coins of its market are Bitcoin and Ethereum. So, my first two choices are Bitcoin and Ethereum too. I also hold a certain amount of top altcoins like EOS, LTC and BNB to diversify my portfolio.
The more coin to hold the better, but make sure that it is worth to hold just like my best top coin BTC, ETCH and ofcourse I'm shring this info to y'all the Aci coin. I bet this for being potential to hold because ot can be used as a worldwild payment state. It is very good to hold in the long run so I might suggest this to add to your portfolio. Because a lot of news this year the cryptocurrency market will grow more.

I think your choice is right and the same as my choice which so far has always trusted Bitcoin and Ethereum for me to keep for the long term for more than a year.because in my opinion both are potentially profitable and always provide a good return if we wait patiently.
I also hold ethereum for a long time investing in it. Since he became worth less than two hundred dollars. Same here, I always look at ETH as potential token, it had proven its worth. Aside from that, I will also hold XRP, though this cryptocurrency is controversial, at least it has a solid development team and solid project. I won't bother to hold EOS with its kind of wallet maintenance to ensure transaction, users will stay away from it.

Ethereum as well and ofcourse some of the major coins in the market right now atleast the top 10alts i'm pretty sure it will gonna give us a good amount of profit as the trend goes up while bitcoin will be one of my most holdings to have. I will try to make more money hopefully in this next run up within the alts market. 
Actually, all of the coins in my possession now have been held for over a year. The newest coins are XRP and ETH and they are actually with me for almost two years (I got them in 2018 but I do not remember when).
Everything else is 2017 so I guess that makes me a real holder!

Im holding bitcoin and eth as well for more than a year now. Though I already take profit to my btc holdings im still accumulating additional btc to hold because it seems this year will be good for btc.On the other side there's no much progress in eth however I still believe that in time all the waiting will be paid off. I have bnb, ltc and iost as well.
There are still some alternatives besides ETH for the long term. LTC, DOGE, and XLM are still very reliable.

You have a right decision because all we know that those two coins are the most fast moving and most progressive coin here in crypto world so the trust of people is already on them. But for me I will invest more to bitcoin up to 70% and leave the remaining 30% at eth because I think bitcoin's progress is faster.
but are you sure about your decision to prefer bitcoin 70%? Have you predicted that Bitcoin will experience buble? many professional buble traders will occur after this bullishness, it is uncertain whether or not it is correct, but if it is true, it will be bad news for btc lovers.I think it would be wise to see the benefits and also the risks.

I have held them both for 5 months and im still good feeling with this coin

Of course thats why they are the top coins on the list, i invested all my money on bitcoin because i belief my money is far safer than any other coins out there, bitcoin is not stable as well but its far from scam like other projects

of the coins you mentioned you still keep ethereum for the next year will provide a very high risk because the supply of ethereum is unlimited and difficult to make the price go up, it's better you can save coins that have limited supply for example Bitcoin, Bitcoin SV and BCH I think with these three coins is enough for an annual investment because every year the supply of this coin will certainly be thinning and will be increasingly difficult to obtain. Bitcoin, ethereum, Litecoin and Binance coin (btc, eth, LTC and bnb) are my top favourite coins that I can hodl for more than one year, apart from Bitcoin those coins are like a sleeping giant ready to wake up when bitcoin regains it bullish sentiment they would also pump massively. 
Apart from the coins you mentioned DASH and DOGE coins are also good coin to hold for longer term because they are existing in the market for longer term and also good for someone who have less capital to invest.
XRP and BNB can be good coins in 2020 but for more longer term their potential is still in question.
DOGE is a good currency to invest in the short term but it is not a good currency to hold for long. If anyone who watches DOGE can recognize, the value of doge hasn't changed much over the years. Besides doge is a currency with infinite supply so choosing to hold it long term is not wise. XRP and BNB can be good coins in 2020 but for more longer term their potential is still in question.

I think the coin is good to hold for a long period of time and can also give you benefits later.
