In my opinion Ethereum can be the leader of the crypto currency market in the near future. As a platform for ICOs and smart-contracts it has very very promising future.

The main coins seem to be well positioned for the future, but some new blockchain technologies like gonetwork, quark and zilliqa may have a good chance.
I think Quarkchain could be the new choice for me that will give me a big profit in the long run. I think it is really reliable and has a not bad potential to reach good successes

From my point of view, you should check the coin-dev team about their references, how the project will solve the problem and whether the project has an active development. This way you can see which coins are good for the future. but for me BTC, ETH, LTC really have a good future.
in principle for the price and future of a coin is fixed on trust by many people who invest in cryptocurrency. so I'm sure if a coin that already has it can be predicted to have a bright future
If we talk about not the most popular cryptocurrencies, then I like the Request Network. This is not a very loud project, but it actively works and achieves results.
I think Ethereum is number one on my list because it is next to a bit nose being used as a platform for many ICOs. The price can be much higher in the future because it has no maximum coin limit. Despite a bad reputation as a clone, another coin will be a bit coin cash.
MANA or LAND - VR is the future so this one is obvious. the team is pure quality and ao is in the works and updates. NANO - fast and feeless makes sense but not sure tbh. ADA - its cheap and the guy running it has way above average intelligence. makes me think it has potential. ETH growth.

From a rational point of view, it would be easy to suppose that cryptocurrencies supported by a better team of developers, with a committed community and with enough flexibility to efficiently meet user requirements would be the best profile to face the challenges of the future with success, but this strange and capricious market does not seem to react to the economic fundamentals of the real world, so it is likely that such inefficient coins as bitcoin and ethereum will continue to dominate the market for many years.
nowadays MET, QKC, SOUL, NKN are good option to invest for long term, high potential to increase in near future

According my opinion, almost Altcoins which are in top 20 on the coinmarketcap will have good future, may be not in the near future, such as Cardano, I think it needs lots of time to finish their roadmap and really has a big worth more than the present
BTC, ETH and in the near future may show itself NEO, it is called the Chinese Ethereum.
I though that I was the only one who noticed this too, NEO has grown so much amongst the chinese investors, when they started referring to it as the chinese ethereum I knew then that this coin would end up doing well in the long run. This is the reason that I invested in the coin. Just like ethereum it is one of the best altcoins in the market.
Many peoples are commenting about bitcoin cash strong potential of growth in the future to be widely use by a lot of users in the future, and looking at the price graph of bitcoin cash, investors seems to be supporting its value to rise constantly at the moment.
In the future, only those projects will be left that will be technically prepared, and will be useful for the community. Such projects as blockchain 3.0, 4.0.
