When deciding in which coin to invest you can either blindly follow suggestions by others or make your own informed descision based on some criteria:
- What problem does the project attempt to solve?
- Is it a solution looking for a problem?
- Is there active development behind the project? (check Github activity)
- Has the team produced anything but a whitepaper?
- Are there established competitors which are much further into delivering a working product?
- Cross reference developers against previous scam projects
- Current market capitalization of the coin
This is golden advice... as a newbie its so tempting to just ask for advice but nothing beats good old fashioned research I think...
Now there are many promising coins. And the price of these coins is very low. We must use this chance and buy cheap coins. It seems to me that very promising coins are now XEM, IOTA and NEO,XRP,...But , each and everyone of us has different point of view on how we appreciate the kind of altcoin we choose. On my opinion, I think a coin have a good future is an ETH, though its value is not as high but for the long run it gonna be a good amount as it can have a huge amoubt of profit.
it seems that token etherium is very potential and has a very good future is also very suitable to be invested in a long time and will provide great benefits to its investors.
I believe this two coin has a big potential this year, Neo is recently gain more attention from more investor. Because its price more than doubles since the beginning of this year. Steem also has the big impact this year, with steem platform is aims to eliminate fake news by developing, promoting and rewarding generation and sharing of quality content.
Before deciding to invest in ICO then you need to learn first about the project and team of the coins, some ICO that I participate does provide benefits but it takes patience to get benefit from the ICO that I follow, so the point is to do research after that take decision you want to Invest in what ICO.
I believe OMG and TenX have a great potential to increase in a price. They are great projects with an impressive team and development, but like many of you said, BTC is the #1.
I still go for the top 5 there's no guaranty in ico and new coin, while the top coin in the market continue to increase the support of the crypto investors and miners Bitcoin is still the coin to go in this time of confusion.
OMG is by far the best coin around. The team does everything right from the marketing to PR to getting involved with the right people. Vitalik is active on OMG. I think this coin will be going much higher. It has held very strong during this bloodbath. Nobody seems to want to sell it. It is forming a bull flag as of now. Keep an eye on it to see which way itll break.

I think DIW and NEO will have a glory future. The NEO's has built a lot of DApps and DIW is now with great potential. U could make some investment for these two coins but no load. Investing with ur own money as the risk is also high.
Let me put it this way. 90% are shit coins, 10% are solid coins with a future. See for the best Low risk Mediocre return coins like ETH NEO QTUM

In this time.I think neo has a very good future.Many neo-based token coming out now.they are also good project themselves.Plus neo has some great features like no transaction fees, free gas and transaction per sec is also ok.Even some neo-based token like Trinity has one of the highest transaction/ secs.So in my opinion neo has a future.Also eos icx cardano and eth(already have one) have great future.

I think wepower and wanchain are very good coins, I'm sure their futures will be very good.
In my Own opinion I think wanchain have a good future recently listed and did 14x on the bearish market so I think it has a good future.
coins/tokens here that has a good future on it is Etherium, Waves and also Bitcoin cash. Eth and waves has alot of good projets on it it has alot of potencial compared to other coins.
The market is just now full of redundant coins, but really good tokens that bring people money is very small and difficult to find
In my opinion, if the altcoin based Prof of stake coin prices will be stable and maybe continue to increase every year, many investors who become supported masternode
