Yes there are good altcoins in the market that are more trusty but to be safer it's better to go for Bitcoin, if you have the risky habit them top ten altcoins is the best path to start, what is presently happening in crypto space is an opportunity not a threat
Your statement is exactly right, the current market condition is an opportunity for those who are able to understand risk, because until now we can see tokens that always enter into the top ten have started to show up prices, such as USDT and LTC and Bitcoin.

Not everyone has the ability to hold for long because they are short term investors. When it comes to investing in crypto, no matter how low the price is, you should still reserve some more fund after buying because you never can tell if there will still be further plunge.
Well, even if the market keeps dumping, thee are certain coins that I do not mind holding and of such, I am confident in is BTC.
Also, ETH is already very low, buying it now might result in good profit soon.

First time we touch crypto there's no safe, we take our responsibility with our knowledge and money. Some people still try to find safe coin but I'm really sure wait and see is their option. If you already have open position please cut loss because the problem ( Corona ) still have no antidote. Will wasting time to find safe coin, I suggest you try trade commodity, such as gold and silver, there's profit and safe in there.

For now indeed we should be looking safe because the market is currently in a tough time for us to trade, and I am better off for a while to retain the coins that I have today namely Ethereum, BNB and BTC of course and we hope A time like this will be fast ending because all surely know this year the crypto world will give interesting surprises to all of us so we still have to be patient.

Totally nothing yet now because i am confused about the crypto market at this time so i can't trust altcoins right now. But i guess it if you want invest in crypto right now then you can do btc and eth without don't believe others currency.

Yes, you are right, people are completely in a confusion state which coins to buy, because the market fluctuations make many people are afraid to buy the coin because the market is not stable yet and we might see more dump coming from the Bitcoin. This may surely cause the altcoin to decrease their prices again.

Well they don't have to be confuse, by bitcoin if they don't trust altcoins, but actually there are still a lot of good altcoins in the market if you believe the market will recover and rise again, that is the first step, when you do that, the next step which is choosing would be easy.

Try to make it simple on your analysis, the market is in panic, so price are cheap but they are not just cheap they are also undervalued.

Hey

So, since the crisis has just begun imo, which coins are you guys holding? who do you trust?

I am a proud holder of NWC, KAVA, and BAT for some time now. Or at least I wish I could say I'm proud for all them haha. Kava and Bat are testing my patience lately, but I ain't sellin'!! Time to buy more..

Whereas these NwC guys came up with a solution on how to keep HODLers in these tough times. Some sort of Holders event, exciting idea for me as a holder type of guy.

But, that's my opinion.

What about you Bitcointalk people?

What's your story?

Which coin is your safe haven?
With market conditions that continue to deteriorate as it is today, it's better to be careful in choosing altcoin, because it could be that what we choose will make us suffer losses later, I personally prefer to trust my money in ethereum (ETH) and Binance coin (BNB), and I think it's a good opportunity to buy some ETH that are currently experiencing price declines because if the market returns to normal I am sure that ETH prices will rise significantly later.
And likewise my reason I chose BNB as an investment asset because I saw the potential, and also the market capitalization of the BNB which continues to increase every day and BNB is one of the greats altcoins that has bright prospects in the future.

Holding stable coins now is just plain stupid, I'd rather buy NEO, EOS OKB, these coins are very good for short or long term holding, and right now they are extremely cheap, it doesn't make any sense to hold USDT when all coins drop in value, take advantage
Utilizing the conditions of falling prices will be a good solution for traders, all traders will definitely make a purchase at a cheap price and will resell when the price has risen.
For now almost all the coins glow red on the market, if you have enough capital and a strong mentality, You can make purchases in several coins. And need to remember, invest with quality, not with quantity.

Only real "safe haven" right now is probably a stable coin.

The crypto markets is SO volatile right now, that you can't call anything "safe" for the moment being.

Do your research instead, you could speculate on the next bull cycle, which is what I am doing right now.

With increasing regulation, I'm SURE a LOT of people will be sick and tired of doing KYC on centralized exchanges, more over, a lot of us care about our privacy when trading, so I'm SURE a lot of people will start to adapt to DEX's, which is what I believe will be the next big thing.
Remember Kucoin and COSS? Exploded in 2017 on the premise of "passive income" from the fees associated with their exchange.

Today, we've got DEX's with a similar structure. Blocknet is a good example of a project I've got my eyes on, as if you run a node (5000 coins required), you can profit from the trading fees on the DEX, which could make you a healthy passive income in the future, I'm sure.

I believe in ethereum and I have bought it and held it for almost the last 3 months. I am still waiting for the bull ethereum to occur when the POS system has been launched later. this system change is expected and awaited by many ethereum users, although for the time being see market movements are getting worse due to the arrival of the corona virus. but I am still optimistic about what I have grasped and planned for a long time.

I think the coin that is good for safe haven assets are stable coins because it is unusual for them to make huge movements like bitcoin, that is why coins like USDT coins are only good for avoiding this kind of situations like the bear market. USDT coins is just like fiat currency that it is good for making purchases through online
usdt does have more functions when under uncertain conditions like now. if we convert assets in usdt then the value of our assets will remain stable and if bought again on bitcoin, we will get more btc. therefore this stable coin is much in demand to store temporary assets

No coins are safe from crashing down even bitcoin could not recover from devastating downtrend of the market. I think the best option of now is to convert your assets to stablecoins, You should have done a little earlier thought to be able to save a little bit ore of your loss. Then convert back it to alts or btc when everything is going back to normal.

What I currently do now is to trade along with the whales, when they pump bitcoin, I sell, and hold USDT and when it dumps, I buy back and watch the next pump. Currently the market is not friendly.

We should always follow the different strategy based on the market situation, otherwise, it is impossible for us to make profits. You are following the strategy based on the market condition, but every time you cannot make a profit, some time experience traders are failing to predict the market situations

for some reason when I trade in the market I never make excessive predictions. I also actually had difficulty reading the charts on the market. but I was fortunate in some altcoin and bitcoin trading that I did in the short term to make a profit.
