Doubt they will be allowed to join. Maybe some day but not any time soon. And not while juncker is around. Dialogue between eu and turkey has been going on for decades. With only some progress. Some countries don't like the idea of turkey in the eu like germany, greece, etc. There is some popular opposition to it too. And fears of more migrants, difficulties integrating a large country with a large economy, cultural differences, turkey cracking down on press and free speech, move away from a secular democracry, human rights violations, etc.

Turkey tried to join the EEC since 1959 which didnt happened.

Btw. i just found out that Norway actually pays per capita as much as the UK does to the EU.

The talks for turkey to join the EU started before Merkel was germam chancellor.

The funny part: Merkel actually prevented turkey joining the EU and ensured they would get only a privileged partnership when she got voted in as the german chancellor.

Although the majority of the public is in favor of Frexit, the mainstream parties remain opposed to it (only the extreme-right and the extreme-left are in favor). They will never allow a referendum, a la the one held in the United Kingdom. So unless Marine Le Pen becomes the president of France, there is no chance for a Frexit.

I haven't voted as I haven't found the "NONE" option.

The EU will live forever. France is between Spain and Germany, and Italy is between France and Slovenia. This is not going to change, and there are thousands of Europeans living in one country while working in another. Plenty of things might change, but there will always be millions crossing borders everyday, to work, to trade or for fun, so there will always be a need for "neighborhood relations". The EU is the best place to organize that.

I'm surprised 4 chose France. My experience is that at least one quarter of the French people are subhumans who would unable to stand without state support. France would simply collapse if it weren't under the strong umbrella of Germany.

It might be the case that the people who voted for Brexit, after seeing the results of their decision, might actually want there to be another vote. With Scotland pushing for independence and all of the economic consequences, those people might want the UK to remain in the EU. The Brexit vote could actually strengthen the EU, and become a deterrent for other countries that might be thinking about exiting.

Free movement is a good thing.
Defense union is a good thing.
A single currency is a good thing.
Investments into projects that will bring net positive result is a good thing.

To be fair some people will say that those are bad things, but I like that I can freely move among the countries in the union. I like that I can use one currency in those countries. I like that if my country was attacked tomorrow the full might of europe would descend on Russia (sorry stupid joke, but Russia is basically the only entity that has a slim chance of attacking).

Yes, I think they'll all be watching, which is why the UK has to stay strong and make Brexit work. Once we've shown it can be a success, the floodgates will open.

I voted for Belgium, because of those terrorist attacks. I guess it's enough of these problems with immigrants for them and people pretending to be immigrants and actually being terrorists.

I'm agree that for now it's hard to make any prediction about which country will decide to off the European Union next. It has to past some time to see how it's gonna be in Britain, maybe if this out will bring more positive results for Britain - someone else will decide to leave the Union.
