Despite some problems, EU is ultimately a good thing and I find it surprising how little liked it is on this forum.

Ultimately it will depend on how UK ends up. No one will want to leave if they see them suffering economically for it.

Besides the whole immigration crysis thing won't last forever and calmer heads should prevail when it becomes less of a problem.

I voted for Italy.

Their economy has literally not grown since 1999 when they joined the euro. They have elections next year and the Five Star Movement which aims to take them out of the EU and euro looks to win. (Five star won the majorship of Rome recently).

The EU is basically just not working for Italy and they need to jump ship to survive, or resign themselves to dying within the EU. They still have some life in them, so i predict they will jump.

i think the ship of EU will never sink. it will float like a ship all the time. in future you will see so many other countries who will join and make alien with EU. it is the best time for the little independent state to be Allie of EU.

So who's next in line for an ...exit?

according to me, no country will dare to leave european union because of seeing united kingdom's ruin. british people have made their worst decision. for that reason, other european countries want to stay in the union. they dont want to lose their wellness and life quality.

Stop that garbage talk  Smiley After turbulence UK golden age will begin.

What anextraordinary post. It is obvious to all that the EU was ruining Britain ( with the help of the bankers and the government). We've got rid of the EU, the government is changing, and the world of banking is collapsing. So it looks as if Britain is going to join the few countries that are expanding and improving the living standards of their citizens.

I gather that 25% of US citizens have a net worth of under $100. That's really sad for a country that purports to be rich, and is trying to change the politics of the rest of the world.

Maybe france. Especially if national front does well in the elections next year.

In the first hours of brexit around 170 billion pound got burned through falling stocks and currency.

It is over $2 trillion worldwide now.

France is struggling to get reasonable 40 hour weeks with optional overtime into law - at times it can be laughable.

Meanwhile sweden is testing 30 hour weeks. With some success too. Higher productivity, happier employees, etc. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/21/business/international/in-sweden-an-experiment-turns-shorter-workdays-into-bigger-gains.html?_r=0

It is going to be either France or Greece. The French are even more Eurosceptic, when compared to the Brits. Take a look at this:

The big question is, what will the parasites (Poland, Romania, Bulgaria.etc) do, if all of the donor nations pull out of the European Union?

I think Turkey will be the next country to leave. Once they realise that they can't continue to get money for nothing, then they will be off.

I would be willing to stick a 100 bitcoin bet on Turkey not being next to leave the EU.

...considering they arent even in the EU  Roll Eyes

I just hope that France will never be dumb enough for voting leave... But if Germany or France leave, EU no longer exist that's as simple as that.

The French aren't dumb, they told the US to poke their sanctions against Russia, and they are already looking at leaving I understand.

I heard that in Czech parliament there are already initiative for similar referendum, for leaving from EU.
In Germany, if Merkel loose next parliament election and radical right party win, we will probably see such referendum in Germany as well.
It's the same situation in Netherlands and France.
In Croatia, my country, only minor party right now demanding such referendum so it's not likely that we will have such referendum in the near future.

A lower pound will help our exports, and allow us to grow again.

One of the reasons the EU was created was to allow Germany to use a devalued currency to increase exports. China kept the Riminbi low by selling Yuan and buying dollars. I hope the UK government doesn't allow Sterling to rise.

The EU will have to make an exit look difficult to retain the remaining members. Any country using the Euro currency will naturally have a stronger bond and if they can make the politics work fairly it will continue to develop. They still need to get their southern borders under control and fix stuff like Greek debt before they can move on. France is struggling to get reasonable 40 hour weeks with optional overtime into law - at times it can be laughable.

For the security of Europe, they are better off together but it can take generations to weed out corruption that got ingrained by previous cultural influences.

People will wait and see how the UK will develop. In the case of a drowning UK i doubt anybody would do the same.

In the first hours of brexit around 170 billion pound got burned through falling stocks and currency.

BoE already declared to help out banks and corporations with atleast 250 billion.

EU negotiations will be bloody too. I see a grim future for the UK.
