Using Binance at the moment. Is that one of the best, or there are better ones?  I live in Sydney Australia by the way.

And which exchange has the lowest fees?

And do I need to provide photo ID etc to join them and to start buying coins?

Thanks:)

I usually use Bittrex and etherdelta. Have you ever try them, yet? I think it is very good to believe.

Now a days is playing games with the people account. I don't know why they disable the accounts without any intimation. This make many people panic about the Bittrex, Etherdelta is the decentralized exchange and transaction are very fast when compared to other exchanges.

Yeah, Bittrex was never hacked before and I haven't any problem with deposit/withdrawal for more than a year there.
I don;t like bittrex now, I prefer hitbtc, I like hitbtc because the confirmation is fast for deposit and withdrawal. in bittrex my acount is limited to 0.025 btc worth to withdraw. It is to small, less than 1 eth. I usually withdraw about 1 eth. Hitbtc volume also increase , they list new tokens too. Have you traded at hitbtc? another choice is cryptopia. I like the dashboard. It is user friendly.

I recommend bittrex. They don't have the lowest fee's (its 0.25% for either bid or ask), but they have a wide variety of listed coins, good customer support (relative to the others on the market) and a stable platform. Good enough for a semi casual user like me Smiley

I really like poloniex and bittrex for centralized exchange, fast and easy to use

And for decentralized exchange I like COSS, their website looks really cool and if you hold the COSS token you can get 50% share of the dividend which is a lot.

Also in the next few months OAX will launch their prototype, it's a mix of centralized and decentralized exchange, I am really excited for it

I used Cryptopia today and was very pleased except for trying to buy by inputting the numbers. It is hard to figure out at first and I had to use a YouTube tutorial, but it was worth it because they've been around for a while and this is a good thing when you are using an exchange you need to trust it otherwise there is no point putting your BTC there ever.

Which exchange seems to be the fastest to display new coins/tokens?

I think Etherdelta and other decetralized exchanges are the fastest in adding new coins. But they are not the best.

Bittrex is the best and safest. But a lot of fees for small withdrawal.

I agree with you on Bittrex. Out of all the exchanges that I have used till now, bittrex if one of the best ones that I have used. Their website looks clean and simply to use. It is easy to place buy and sell orders without any sort of confusion and the security of the exchange is great. On the other hand, etherdelta is very irritating to use. The user interface is laggy and it does not look pretty at all. I prefer Bittrex over etherdelta.

I will recommend bittrex exchange and bitfinex. The auto sell of bittrex is just too cool.

I personally use Bittrex almost daily.  Very fast to process transactions, good exchange rates and high volume.  I have also used Poloniex and Bitfinex a lot.  I do not recommend those exchanges.  Poloniex has had some negative press from freezing accounts that soured me.  And with Bitfinex, frequently I would deposit a specific amount of BTC to trade for another coin (I don't like holding funds on exchange, only deposit to buy something else then withdrawal).  Far too frequently when I try to buy max, I end up with a negative BTC balance of like 0.000003 or something ridiculously small, and then they say they won't process your withdrawal because of a negative balance, so then you have to sell some of what you just bought (and their minimum trade size isn't quite to 'minimal') to restore your negative BTC balance. So I've decided to just leave like 0.0005 BTC on their exchange so this doesn't happen again.  It's pretty crappy that users have to troubleshoot their exchange like this to avoid problems.  Why the hell do they let you sell more BTC than you have?Huh

Binance is good one. Bittrex is must have. And, if you want to get fresh alts, just after the ICO you should use EtherDelta. It's hard to trade, hard to understand. It's just different from Binance. But there is no needed to send Photo and make KYC.
