There is no such thing as "best", only good for specific people. What would work out for someone may not be good for another. Its good try different exchanges and see which one is best for you.
And it all depends on the location of the buyer if what are the 'best' place to buy bitcoin, whether a local or a foreign exchange. While can't say about coinbase and kraken since I never used those exchange of buying BTC.

there are one topic that has an issue with Kraken i don't think if this is helpful but added info for others who will be using their exchange https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/kraken-suspended-my-account-and-refunded-the-money-5209140

lucky that i am only using our local wallet and also easy to buy in my country and not needed Big exchange to own some bitcoin, and also this is depending on which place we are living so the choices is not enough to decide which.
Violation of their terms will result into such consequences so one should learn their terms before using any service, but the case you mentioned got refund so he seems to be lucky with that.

OP here comparing best exchanges for US customers because where regulations are different for an exchange to operate which made more difficult for US residents to trade cryptos from other country like you have been.
Its worth mentioning about Binance US as well in the list of best exchange which has 100+ trading pairs and less fee for credit card purchases.

I guess that is really an obvious connection that you're the one who made that blog and webiste. Like they mentioned, there's really no best exchange but it depends how they are useful and convenient to the users. An exchange that wasn't even mentioned can be better and the best for the rest.

Hi Everyone!

I hope you're having a great day. The market may not be bullish today, but I want to start the discussion early so we can all be prepared. I recently published an article to compare Kraken and Coinbase to see which exchange would be the best for buying Bitcoin. I would love for you to read the article and hear what you think about the comparision.

Coinbase vs Kraken - Which Exchange Is The Best For Buying Bitcoin?

What exchange do you think is best for buying Bitcoin? Looking forward to the discussion!
Talking about the quality of Kraken and Coinbase, we are not arguing, it is definitely the best exchanges with the most secure and reputable security system in the crypto market. But buying bitcoin at cheap prices and prestige, I only trust Huobi Global. It is one of the best and fastest paying exchanges and we can trade P2P with anyone who wants to sell or buy Bitcoin at a reasonable price. The fee is quite low and I have traded more than 12 bitcoins but there has never been a problem.

Calm guys.

OP just made a comparison based on his own research and preferences. I don't see any biased nor telling people what exchange should be used. In the past, I read some of their articles and I admit some of them are interesting. Way better than those newcomers who will just create a thread then post their article link and done. Getting traffic is not a problem as long as the content does make sense.

In this article, OP made a comparison on some of the specific and basic things that users are looking for e.g fees, liquidity, interface, user-experience, security. I found this as a good reference and not trash.

Although OP made a verdict at the end, it doesn't mean anyone should follow it. It was clearly stated at the end of the article that both exchanges are exceptional in their own way and each person has it's own preferences.

It's a good article, but other people on this thread are right in that the "best" exchange depends on your personal circumstances. If you are in Europe for example, Kraken is best simply because of the ease of withdrawals combined with the liquidity of the euro/btc euro/ltc pairs. If you are outside Europe, that stuff doesn't matter.

Exactly I agree with you, there's no such what we called "best" exchange at this moment. Even big exchange (pointing on Binance) was experienced in hacking incidents and leaking that lead hacks the trader's identity.

If you make comparisons, why not you did not list all crypto exchanges and make different comparisons among them and we can compare which are the best among others. Coinbase vs Kraken? I still prefer on the Binance.

Here are the lists and comparisons on some exchange that we already have known.
Crypto exchanges comparison [trade fee + listing fee + age + mobile app + more!]
List of Decentralized/Centralized Exchanges

That makes sense if you are comparing exchanges not only two of them.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
You are posting your own article for getting traffic? Not that its not something to be done, but its a blog after all and they are personal opinion instead of specific opinions. Whether one finds Coinbase exchange useful for their needs or Kraken ultimately boils down to whether they are getting their own needs fulfilled efficiently and in a timely manner.

IMO 'the best' is somewhat subjective. You can't tell me Coinbase or Kraken is the best if I wanted to withdraw fiat to my local bank account because they don't support them, so, I'm pretty sure 'the best' thing is just a clickbait.

And to be honest, it's tiring to see the same thing/discussion about this keep popping out when there are dozens of thread out there left with people spamming their own opinion.
