First of all congratulations in advance for your first halving,. how long have you been in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? if you are older than 1 or 2 years then I assume you already know pretty much about cryptocurrencies.
For me like everyone else, Altcoins within top 100 list of Coinmarketcap can be good options for buying and hodling for long term. it depends how much and how many altcoins can you buy. If I'd be more specific then
Ethereum,
Binance Coin,
Solana,
Avalanche,
Polkadot,
Litecoin and
XRP would be my picks of altcoins for long term Hodling, but obviously you should do your own research and make your investment deicions at your own risk. because no matter how good an altcoin is there will always be risks of loosing money because of their valatile nature.
Yes Dear you said well here because when you are talking about holding Altcoins Risk management should be our first priority. we should diversify our whole portfolio in different altcoins. In my honest opinion, we should invest 90% of our amount in Bitcoin, and the rest of the amount we should diversify in different altcoins as by doing this we will be able to overcome our risk. If one is not performing well other alts may perform well.
The altcoins you aforementioned Polkadot and Ethereum can be a good pick because I also share one news about Polka Dot. Like their team is working on their ecosystem and we may see good value of DOT in the coming Alt season.
(DYOR)A couple of months ago I bought XRP and planned to hold it for the long term but when I read a bad news about it then I sold my XRP now I don't know if it was my right action or not.
