It really depends on where you want to gain more profits with and you have to know about the technical analysis and read graphs of the coin you have invested in. But if you are still a newbie and barrly know anything about the cryptocurrencies and trading then I think it would best for you to invest for long term until such time you are capable or have the confidence to do short term trading.
I do not know short-term investment (daily exchange). I try but every day I lose money. So with my thinking, long term investment will be a better option. But if you know about the market and can invest in short term. It really gives you a lot of money
Honestly, I have invested in five diffrent coin, What should i do when i see the price is falling down, I will hold it because in this case i doing for a long term investment, that's my choose and I have to trust that's my choose
Whatever happens, you shouldn't regret your decision. Sometimes, being in doubt when it was already done can affect your trading emotions. In return, you are bound to commit another mistake aside learning from the fail that you had made. Aside from being committed, have a plan B or C to reduce the risk of your investment turning into nothing.
Actually I prefer long-term investment because profit is usually earned greater. But it all depends on your needs and how much capital you have. Think of investments like saving in a bank but you can benefit from it.
Base on my experience the best to invest is by just purchasing bitcoin and holding it for long term. Its the most preferred and the best way to invest for most.

For crypto the best investment is long term investment. Because crypto is emerging market and it ia very volatile. Also if you only want to flip money you have a big chance to get lose especially when the market like now. Almost all ico going down after listing in exchange. My advice is invest in some good ico like auctus, essentia and shivom and forget your money for 1-2 years. Put your money which you can afford to lose.
For those who experienced investing in criptocurrency, our market are already go back in the normal situation. Noting to worrt or ba panic. But for those who had currently invested are you afraid when you woke up and you try to look in the market and all criptos slowly falling down. What are you going to do? Hold or Sell?

Long term investment and Short term investment both are different perspective to invest in Cryptocurrency. If you looking to long term investment you should invest in top trending Cryptocurrency for example top 10 Cryptocurrency is more convenient to long term. If you looking to short term investment you should invest any cheap altcoins but you must carefully check the white paper and road map of the coin then we can analyse the past history of the altcoin it is more than enough to identify the best short term coins. The best way to invest is to invest to those coins that you are familiar with. Don't just go with the flow because there are people on the chat box of trading sites that a coin will be pumped or it's going to fly to the moon. Don't listen to those shills.What do you choose a long term investment or a short time investment?
I choose to be a long term investor. I'm even planning to use my crypto investments for my retirement. 
Whatever you invest in the bull market, you will win. I have a project that can invest a lot of money on a long-term basis for the entire market.

Of course, long-term investments can make a big profit, but it's also a risk of getting a recent crisis and losing almost a third of the profits. the short term is usually not very great fortunes and gives even if the short term will be more get people glued to a target and are likely to be panicked. Maybe if you want more patient then chose long-term will be much more unexpected results.
It all depends on how clever you best See the opportunities that exist to make a profit. But if you want to play it safe and then a lot of people who choose to play in the long-term for the security of the capital they have.

In the Crypto market long-term investment will bring you many benefits. For example, in the past few years, BTC was only a few dollars. But today the price of BTC has increased a lot, some people they trust and expect the future, they hold long and now they have become millionaires.
In my opinion there is no doubt : long term. Do your own research, read, ask questions, pick coins that you truly believe in, where the community is solid, the devs are serious. Once you do that you just need not to panic, hold and enjoy your profit. Sometimes there are also good short term trades but for me only long term can make you rich.
In my own opinion, you should choose short term investment in bitcoin. Because of many reasons:
- The price of bitcoin continuously decreases as the market fluctuates rapidly. Should I advise if you should sell and continue to buy to invest so long can be a loss.
- Bitcoin in some countries is not legally recognized, so it can be banned at any time.

It depends on who you are. I think people who do not know basic analysis and technical analysis should learn them first. My personal idea is very difficult in everyday trade in cryptos. For this reason I prefer long-term investment by doing a good research.
Same as you, this is all depend to the people who want, if long or short term of investment. But like you, I believe in long term investment. Because crypto has no stable price, if you hold it long there is an possible to get your profit. 
There are some coins worth holding for long term and pothers that are for short term.Obviously a coin with a long road map is definitely for a long term investment because the value of the coin will depend on the final product but for coins with short roadmaps,obviously they are for term investment.Also there are some coins that are outright pumps and dumps which you should keep an eye on in order not to miss out on the dump and become a bagholder.

Holding is going to be your strategy if you're just inexperienced as a trader, and you know that bitcoin/alts is going to succeed and you want to take advantage. You're hedging yourself against all short term volatility by holding for the long term.
Short term trading is probably better in a bull market than it is in a bear market.
I personally prefer long term investments, because there is a very small degree of maintenance going into your portfolio. Also, you don't get affected by emotions when you're speculating on certain coins. But short term trading, if done right, can take advantage of all price swings, both bullish and bearish. Of course, it is way more risky than long term holding.
