I am not a constant trader as i only trade when i see a best opportunity and made a complete and detailed research about the said coin.

But i use both strategy, Like back in December when Bitcoin price is Hyping , i manage to risk my funds and i profit great amount this this year .

Same as when the price of Bitcoin starts to drop then i sold more than half of my funds and got a chance buying again in around 30k level.

those actions answers both and i manage to go along .

They are both connected to each other anyway. Hype comes, price surges and when the hype drains out the price dips. I do not think that there is any choice with here but to take advantage of the hype while it is still blasting around the news.
Just do not go with the hype if you are into long-term investment.

To those who are trading consistently, I would like to ask you based on your experience.

Which is easier in making a profit, riding with the hype, or waiting until the price will dip?

Most people say that don't buy when the market is bullish, just wait until there's a price correction and the price will dip.
So with your experience, I like to know which is more effective between the two.

In my opinion, it's OK to buy the significant dips, this should be done mostly with the intention to help support the Bitcoin Network. When price start rising again, you could decide to sell, but only if you need some money to take care of other important needs. If you have no need to sell then let your money remains in Bitcoin and acts as long-term investment.

You can also buy when price is going up, but only do this when there is a good development in Bitcoin that can increase its demand.
Remember to buy with what you can afford to risk. Don't take too much risk

Almost everyone I know who bought during hype got shattered afterwards. Very, very few buy during hype and wait very long until the price recovers (if it ever even does). Perhaps a dip is a better strategy, at least in my case it always has been.

I think we should look for trend and right entry if we want to get maximum profit. We cannot say everytime market will dump and we can miss good entry like solana increase from 50$ to 200$ and its difficult that we will find it again at 50$ price.
If a best coin which has good partnership and good news are expected in near future than in 10% dump we can take partial entry and if dump more we can take another entry .
In this way our average entry will remain safe and if coin pump we can get huge profit.

It's hard to give a clear answer on that because both strategies have the potential of huge gains but also of course of huge losses. I personally would never buy into big and established projects like Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cardano, Cosmos etc. while we are already in a Bull market for a couple of weeks or even months because then the prices are just way to high and a correction will happen pretty soon. If you are very early with riding the hype then of course you can make some nice profit but to do that you need to be very well connected or just be very active in the social media to be aware of all the news that are coming in every day.

This is based in my experience, the best and easiest way for me in making profit is by riding with the hype. Why? You will know that it is hyped if you heard it in Twitter, a lot of people are creating topics here in the forum and many more and the hype last long and you can make a quick money out of it.

In price dip I'm really struggling to know where is the dip and the timing on where should I buy in the lower price since.

It depends on the cryptocurrency to invest actually. If it is one of the top cryptocurrencies, then I wouldn't wait to see the dip price. I would still make an investment but I would make another one if the price drops sharply. And we can't even know what level the dip price will be. We just make our predictions about it and decide to buy more. But if we are talking about new promising projects, it is better to buy from a low level.

You see, both of these are part of the cycle. It only depends on which one you could join in at the proper time. If you are late in either you will be losing more, so better remain a bystander in such cases. But if you could join in, like you have a stash to sell when the hype is going on OR having fiat ready to buy at dip - go for them - you will be able to make money in both ways.

All depends on the timing, for someone who missed an opportunity, they would rather want to hold it at that time. Matter of perspective as well.

Going opposite to what the major people are doing gives an advantage, but it should be done carefully.

Both can work but with terms and conditions.
If the market is bullish, you can easily follow the price and make a profit but waiting for the dip will not be easy as we can be wrong to identify the dip.
Maybe if the market is bullish, you can use scalping trading but not greedily to chase a big profit because the price will not increase higher.
I prefer to use the trading using the dip but at the other time, if I can see the market is bullish, I will try to use scalping trading.

Waiting until the price dip gives us the maximum profit but when we are trading with the market is extremely bullish the cashflow will be higher but not the actual profits because when the market is in hype its good to hold the cryptos then sell it when the market peaks.

I use both strategy but on different occasions, I ride the hype if I have interest just for the short term while waiting for the market to dip has to do with long term trading or if I'm interested in investing. For most coins if you wait for the dip you might miss the opposite to profit or buy when the coin is dying down. For example when the meme hype was at its peak, I bought some memes coins not because I believe they have a future but just to profit for the short term and ones I realized that profit in exited the trade.

Assuming I waited for the dips to happen before buying, then obviously I would have to be in lost at the moment and chances are they won't recover because I doubt the meme hype will be returning. The only time waiting for the dip works is if when you're buying already established coins with bright futures and not those project only created for speculation purpose.

For projects with real utility like Ethereum and most recent Solana, you can wait for dip and get in good position to ride the next pump but don't try that with trend/project with only speculative purpose.

If you are trading, you can try and time the market by buying lows and selling highs. That could be on a micro or macro time scale. Everybody is going to try and time the top and exit before the next dump but nobody knows when that is. The easiest way to make money is to lend your crypto or farm with it on a platform like Ref Finance or SpookySwap or UbeSwap. That way you are earning money regardless of what the greater market does. You then sell your reward tokens from farming if you are in a bull market for USD or buy a larger cap coin in a bear market.

Both are profitable but it's all that matters with your activeness in the market if you're going with the hype. The hype is unknown to the end unlike buying and waiting for the dip, you'll get to see the pattern when or if it's about to come. I'm not good at riding the hype because I've done that before and rode it but eventually, I've been left with those altcoins that I've bought and I've been dealt in losses. That's why what works for me is waiting for the dip. Maybe the other will work for you but you've got to try both of it.
