Which is more important for us, more investment (ETF) or more adoption?

ETF should not be the thing we should be clamoring for as I do not see how that is really going to help in any situation. What we should be looking at basically is real life adoption, real life usage as this is what would really make the space to become a whole lot valuable, and then in such cases, we will get to see huge demand in the market. As long as we can see merchants adopting, we get to see more people coming in based on the freedom it brings when it comes to spending, then we will see growth, and even ETF without that, is nothing.

But 90% of this community is looking for approval of any ETF for triggering another bull run but you call it a tiny piece ? I guess more investments into bitcoin is more important for making bitcoin as a main stream payment process whereas that more investments may come from anywhere like ETF or from institutions, I guess that doesn't matter much.

Both of it is very important. I think in the short term, we need more investments, because right now we are facing the problem of the lack of investors. But in the long term we need more mass adoption to bring the industry on the next level!

Well, that is what a lot of people think when it comes to mainstream adoption but at the end of the day it is all about adoption. However, there is nothing as good as seeing adoption take place based on real life usage as that is what would make the market even stronger, matured and sustainable in the long run.

ETF is just a tiny piece of that, what we should be really looking at is the possibility of good adoption and not just some ETF approval, and even though that might help a little, at the end of it all, without it and with real life usage alone, this space will grow on its own.

You are right, at the moment cryptocurrency is used more as a way of investment or preservation of value, but using them as a means of payment is not possible in all countries (for now). I hope the situation will improve in the future.

Invest and play

Massive investment comes with adoption. Investing massively here means you have belief on the tech, and you ain't going to put your money in here and go to bed, but you will need to sell what you have by way of promotions, getting people involved and showing how this works. This way it is only natural that people will come flocking and flooding the space which would make the space worth investing more in! So ETFs are a major requisite for the growth of this space.

The concept of cryptocurrency was created as a digital currency, and almost everyone who knows cryptocurrency already knows that. This is only about regulation which is troubling for cryptocurrency users by the government, because cryptocurrency has fulfilled its function as a currency requirement. Only every government allows cryptocurrency to be used properly, and there is no prohibition for anyone using cryptocurrency so we don't need ETFs to make the price recover.

Most Advanced Crypto Exchange on the Blockchain

Adoption is the key. The ETF actually will hurt us in the long run as it will hand the keys over to the bankers (see precious metals). With mass adoption they will begin to lose their control. In this early and frail state for crypto's these whales can cause much havoc as we are now seeing.

It is true that we need wide adoption but what if whide adoption brings bad result or image to bitcoin. What will happen? On the other hand if we the investors can protect the image of bitcoin. Then we await a huge investor and not those that will uae bitcoin for fraud like yahoo boys that scam people.

I think that etf is what would bring more people into the market, when people can be sure that there are a lot of applications of bitcoin, then they would be more inclined to start investing in it, which would mean more adoption. We could really use way more adoption right now in the market.

In my perspective we need more adoption and regulations over this space this will help reduce the FUD which comes out every now and then and crushes the market and moreover more adoption will ultimately lead to more investments.
ETF is overrated and people are making a big thing out of it. Crypto can survive and rather prosper without ETF's also.

The Cryptocurrencies market will flourish and prosper ( without the need for recognition by governments or ETF) if there are two main conditions in my personal view:
First:presence of cryptocurrencies technologies offer new solutions and services that make people's lives better and easier, that is, that technologies become an indispensable need.

Second: This market should have the minimum legislation and regulations that guarantee people's confidence in investment and engagement without falling easily prey to scammers and fraudsters.

If the ETF gets approved there will be more adoption initially but later it will be considered as an investment thing over the currency so we no need the ETF approval for the good future of crypto currency so definitely there needs to be more adoption which causes the cryptos will be used for its main reason of invention to be honest it is adopted by more and more people for investment over currency so we need to educate them what is decentralization and why we need them to have the real adoption.

A very good question, which probably will be answered, but it's just my opinion, I still think that now there is a lot of advertising about ETF and many people are chained to this, so if they accept it, it will give a push up. And they still have to accept, because earlier futures have already been accepted.
