I have 3 options of Exchange
1. BTC-e
2. Poloniex
3. bittrex
If you want to play long I chose BTC-e site, but if you want to play fast I choose poloniex or bittrex.

for me Poloniex sucks! they log me out many times a day that i have given up they say i have a new IP address which is stupid (evne as 1 second after logiing in). Why don't other exhanges do that only Poloniex???

Anyway I'm sick of them and moved to Bittrex as my main now.

liqui seem to have good volume for those tokens so it now depend to the tokens you hold. newer tokens like Taas are already there on liqui, they usually do IOU which always makes them the first on most of the tokens being on the ICO. this exchange also offers best price for some tokens.

Poloniex and Bittrex are the most popular for the most common altcoins we have around
but i also like to use yobit for its simplicity, though most users say yobit has a lot of shitcoins and another interesting exchange is liqui for those dark horse alts with a shot of becoming million dollar coins

I recently built a list of the best altcoin exchanges https://www.bestbitcoinexchange.io/ which includes the most trustworthy places to trade bitcoin and cryptocurrency. In my opinion, these are the best platforms for serious altcoin traders:

+1 i've bookmarked this site Smiley I was looking for a few places to trade altcoins like Ethereum. This list helped, especially with Poloniex issues recently I've been looking for alternatives. Thanks.

Actually there's a couple of exchange platform to deal with safety, but focus some special feature, then Bittrex, Poloniex could be the best choice, there no doubt about that. Check how fast it serves you, activity, security other essential information makes you confident to use their service.

Which is the best altcoin exchange

Definitely Poloniex.

Runner ups would be Bittrex.

The rest of them are mostly places for shitcoin devs to monetize their cloned coins. For example, Yobit, or Novaexchange. Just use Poloniex or bittrex, they've got most of the coins anyways on their exchange listed.

BITTREX is the best for me, good variety of coins and volume.

Poloniex, there are no coins I want to buy because they're all pumped, but volume is high so liquidity is good.
Cryptopia, it's all fake volume, a shame because it lists nearly all new coins, zero liquidity.
Yobit, is pump and dump coins, and permanent frozen wallets, if you follow the trends in the chatbox you can make some quite profit. Volume is low for worthy coins.
CCEX, some good coins but volume is so low.

When it comes to alt coin I consider yobit as one of the best has it is listing almost all coins but when it comes to day trading I consider other exchange. And that is with poloniex which is very popular and has a lot of traders and this is making it more reputable for being trusted by a solid support from the community.

I recently built a list of the best altcoin exchanges https://www.bestbitcoinexchange.io/ which includes the most trustworthy places to trade bitcoin and cryptocurrency. In my opinion, these are the best platforms for serious altcoin traders:

1. Poloniex - solid community reputation, great volumes, excellent interface, good compliance standards, margin trading on major altcoins, fully refunded users after small theft in 2013.
2. Bittrex - good user trust, located in Vegas USA, nice daily volume, trading interface is good, not as many cryptocurrencies listed though.
3. Yobit - a huge range of coins to trade, good for pump & dumpers, professional trading interface, but too many deadcoins can make things confusing.
4. Bitsquare - decentralized & p2p - I can only repeat how amazing it would be if all exchanges were decentralized.
5. Hitbtc - Copenhagen-based, plenty of users, fees remain low.
6. Changelly - Czech cryptocurrency exchange with serious admins, user following is growing but some way to go still.
7. Kraken - not yet there, but slowly becoming a full-on cryptocurrency exchange. Recent listing of Tether (USDT) make it their 10th alcoin available to trade. Excellent community trust for buying/selling BTC.
8. Shapeshift - different from traditional altcoin exchanges, no account needed to swap coins, based in Switzerland, not a custodial platform so less risk

though I know many of you hate yobit in terms of accepting many coins in their trading platform

From what I have seen this feature has actually contributed to their recent growth. Now that Cryptsy is gone, Yobit are the only proactive exchange accepting all new interesting coins.

That's a good list.

One thing people should look at is trading fees - if you trade a lot, high fees can hurt you.

Also, as a veteran who has lost money when two exchanges got closed through fraud (Mintpal and Cryptsy), beware when they increase the withdrawal fees. That's usually a sign that something is wrong and they are trying to deter people from withdrawing coins.

I heard of this one exchange yesterday called Bter.
Anybody have any experience using them?
They have btc price on there $1219 per coin which is way over the real current price it is at now. Roll Eyes
So they are definitely not a site to put any bitcoin into and expect to get anything back?
