I use my ether wallet as a dedicated mobile wallet which I can use in various ways. For me the best way to use ethereum wallet is to access directly by its private key and keeping that private key secure.
Imtoken wallet is cool to use for ethereum based tokens transactions, it is easy to use and not complex. You can download the app for free from Google Play Store since you use android OS. CoinBase is another good option of Ethereum wallets too.

MEW has been using it for the first time and I have never had any problems with its security. It's a safe wallet in which many people trust. The wallet at Coinbase is just as good. Both wallets have an easy interface and are easy to use. I do not recommend the Jaxx wallet. Even though I have not used it before, I read about it as a wallet with big security issues and you would not risk my investment to use it.
Mew is one the safest ethereum and token wallet and the user of this wallet is almost millions now and also the coinbase who the service is really great since last few years until now. Before coinbase did not accepting ethereum but after few years they see the potemtial and they now accepting ethereum and other altcoins too and for sure coinase will add more coins in the future.

I also used these wallets and i don't experience any problem. I always use my wallet on the desktop and metamask has always been my mainstay, but I also have a wallet on Android and Imtoken is one of my choices, maybe besides being easy to use and there we can also make some wallets outside ETH like EOS but all back to you because there are so many choices already mentioned please choose wisely.
Since you are using android device I will advice you to use app that will best support your android device such Imtoken.

I using it few days but i feel it's highest security wallet more than myetherwallet i think. A lot of features like you can set up biometric and pin even if anyhow your mobile will be unlocked than you can choice another extra authentication.
