So yeah i can see there are many projects sprouting around and it's hard to check so many, a lot of them are probably straight up scams.

So my question is, what's your favorite/most promising decentralized exchange so far? I've seen cryptobridge and something like DAG mentioned which is scalable and has big potential, does maybe someone know anything else about it? I will be reading the whitepaper tomorrow.
I like these Exchange

(DEX,  NEO & IDEX )

If they keep adding new tokens I think idex would be number 1 Ethereum based decentralized exchange. After the hack Etherdelta popularity fell down. Industry needs a quality and secure decentralized exchange.

Waves Dex is good for Waves based tokens but volume is too small.

Nex is good for Neo based tokens which will come later this year.

In my opinion, Waves DEX is the most promising decentralized exchange available to the traders. It provides you the advantages of a centralized exchange with no risks. Security and privacy is also ensured.

It was very surprising that there are more decentralized exchange exist than i think. Before I was using EtherDelta, however something happen to it. Next was IDEX, many said it was very promising. Now there are ForkDelta. I really wanted to explore more. I was very fascinated with those project.

As  far as i know, the most convenience, promising and decentralize exchanges is no other than huobi pro.exchange trading site, because its compose of different language, and you can change it to your own dialect, while in the other hand its a user friendly  trading site and when when you apply this account its not needed a kyc, mostly new ICO project Developer  get there services because they know its will help the coins go to the moon and become popular in the market.

I used to sell the decentralized Etherdelta exchange, on which I could be sold quickly any coins of the Erc20 standard. But at the moment I prefer IDEX, it is more comfortable than Etherdelta and it features a large number of different coins.

As for me to date, the decentralized IDEX exchange is the most convenient and promising, I also believe that when the ICO of the new decentralized exchange Streamity is completed and it will put into operation, it will be able to take the leading positions!

Now there is a not very good phenomenon. Large bankers began to buy top exchanges. It seems to me that it will not lead to anything good. This means that decentralized exchanges will develop. I really like the OAX project. I look forward to the launch of this exchange.

The Operating System for DAOs
I like idex.market, it's very easy to use and it has wide selection of Ethereum based tokens.
It also saved us from using that laggy, slow Etherdelta exchange.

I consider it a big disadvantage of decentralized exchanges, this is a very small volume of trades. Guys, wait a bit and decentralized exchanges will become very popular and will improve. Now only the beginning!

There is some other d-exchange called "bisq". I downloaded it myself and have taken a look into it. Everything seemed quite nice except the order books were a bit empty... From what I understood, people don't use it for altcoin/btc trades usually but FIAT/BTC trades mostly. It is also completely open source, means everybody can see what's inside.

In case you want to try it out:

I think p2p exchanges such as Dether, which will probably be more stable before the exchanges regulations and also more convenient and beneficial for users, providing the possibility of both offline exchange using cash and online.

Idex look much better in terms of ease of use, etherdelta can be tricky sometimes, i have seen dozens of users selling or buying for wrong price due to confusion there, so i think there is still room for decentralized exchange with better user interface.

For Decentralized exchange, I like forkdelta the most simply because it's been quite a long time since etherdelta is not usable anymore and the volume is quite high among other dex, the second best is idex, they are quite new but i can see them surpassing forkdelta as the best dex next year.

What about shorting in decentralized exchanges? Are there any platforms planning to have shorting available? Many US customers are lacking a platform to short nowadays when Bitfinex/Bitmex don't allow US customers.
No shorting yet on DEX as far as i know so you should stick to centralized one if you want to short.

If I were to choose a decentralized exchange, I would choose the IDEX exchange.
Because the IDEX deals with all the matching mechanisms, the user experience is better.

IDEX is a popular decentralized exchange that allows you to trade ERC-20 tokens with ease. It is the best alternative you can get for EtherDelta and is way better and user-friendly than ED. It is also amongst the top decentralized exchanges in terms of volume.

Komodo and blocknet are going to be the only real good decentralised exchanges in the near term.

komodo seems a bit ahead but blocknet is far cheaper.

I'm accumulating at 1 kom to 3 blocknet right now.

Both are FAR better than most of those projects in the top 20
