Professional Gamblers
These are gamblers who make their living out of gambling. Professional ones aren't addicted and they have the tolerance, patience, self control with which they make decisions whether to continue or take a break.
~
Personality Gamblers
This is the worst among the different types, because the aim is to make money. Important thing, they never think of anything. They do cheats, lies, do all illegal things to win in the gambling. They wish to be on the top.
~

I don’t see a big difference between these two categories (we’re not talking about explicit crime?) Could you explain with examples what is so bad about gamblers who want to be on top and their goal is money? In my opinion, these are quite reasonable desires. And I must point out that people who move forward no matter what often make discoveries and change the industry in which they put their efforts. They are very different from the non-passionate majority.

The big difference between these two type of gamblers is about how the gamblers deal with it. Professional gamblers can control themselves while gambling, they know when the best time to start and to stop while Personality gamblers are just like hardcore addicted gamblers who will do anything in order to gamble.

Compulsive Gamblers
Majority of the gamblers fall under this category. Even I'm under this category. People never admit they're getting into addiction, but the spending time and money won't stop even when the loss continues. These category gamblers keeps chasing the losses. Compulsive gambling is very danger to life.

Maybe I'll head to this category because sometimes I do the same thing just not sustainable I'm looking for a way to avoid getting into this category
But sometimes I fail when I have extra money in my account I always put investment aside and think more about gambling.
how about you @Vaskiy can you get out of this category?

I'm not on one of the lists made above, it's been a few months or almost a year since I retired from the gambling world and currently I'm more focused on being a spectator and enjoying every football match. There are many positive and negative things to go through on the weekends and still busy checking which match is more profitable with big odds, only now enjoying and watching football matches more. I think there are many negative things from gambling or the like.

Much better if you put it on a sort of poll, so that we will see which will get the most votes here.

I'm no longer an addicted gambler, learn my lessons in a very hard and expensive way.

I'll just gamble when I feel like to going to a land base casino's or play online, sport bet, slots games or even some baccarat games. I'm in no way to make a living out of gambling though, and and I know that once I'm started to roll, all that capital and bankroll are going to lose. So better play with the amount that you can afford to lose.

As you pointed out, Serious Social Gamblers rely on gambling for life. And it can make positive as well as negative impacts on life. Therefore, those who are positive can now be considered Professional gamblers since these gamblers rely on gambling. They are far more professional than anyone.
They're not professional, because they don't have the patience and they don't have the stand about the limits on spending. In simple terms they don't have self control in gambling. Out of luck they make the win. Some used to turn themselves to be professional later through regular practice with control.

You are confusing me. It's clear in the first post that you have mentioned Serious Social Gamblers are bound to become positive and negative. Therefore, we can conclude that those who are positive can consider as professional gamblers since while they rely on gambling they are still in their proper state.

I'm talking about those who are on the positive side. How come they also don't have control?

They're professionally skilled, and there mind isn't prepared to accept loss. That's the reason why they're getting into illegal ways to win. These days it is very rare to do such cheats and tricks. Only in movies it is possible. Cheesy

You are again confused me.

Let's go back to your definition:

Personality Gamblers - This is the worst among the different types, because the aim is to make money. Important thing, they never think of anything. They do cheats, lies, do all illegal things to win in the gambling. They wish to be on the top.

They do cheats but you claimed they are professionally skilled?

What's the connection of being skilled that's why they are getting into illegal ways to win?

I, without a doubt, generally belong to Casual Social Gamblers. Gambling itself is fun, but this does not mean I don't want to win. Winning is always a good thing in gambling. It may not be the be-all and end-all of gambling but games are surely more fun if you turn out the winner. And winning is fun in gambling primarily because there's money in it. Money, of course, is not the only goal. But I have to admit that there are also forms of gambling in which the sole purpose is money. I bet on cockfighting, for example, with no other reason in mind but money.

I'd be a Casual Social Gambler ig? Ofc I get frustrated when I lose but that's all part of the game for me imo. It's fun to win yes, but it isn't my goal, rather the goal is to have fun in the game itself, which is what I think makes me part of that group. Still I guess I can get kind of competitive sometimes? I sometimes lose all manner of composure and just go for a do or die moment though that rarely happens, and I don't use more funds than what I've set for myself so I wouldn't go and consider myself as the impulsive types.

Try to find under which category you fall and stay safe.

I was once a compulsive gambler, luckily this stage of my life was short-lived and I didn't spend real money, but I threw away a lot of Bitcoin at that time.
Currently I consider myself a social player... did I go to the other extreme? yes I made it.
I really play for fun and not for profit, proof of this is that I revert all my winnings to more bets, but I never go over my monthly betting limit.

I'm gambling at least 5-6 times a month or sometimes even more when there's an action like NBA Playoffs, NBA finals, PBA playoffs, PBA finals, etc.

Maybe 50% casual gambling and 50% the other way around lol. My social activity is not complete without doing gambling. Gambling is already part of my social life but can't consider myself as a professional one although I can say, I can be one within my comfort zone.

Casual Social Gamblers
These are like Social drinkers who take alcohol on special occasions. These kind of gamblers prefer gambling as a way to have fun with friends. Winning is not the ultimate with these gamblers. They allocate fund and enjoy using it.

From the list that you provided, I consider myself to be a casual and social gambler.

My brother was the one who introduce me to the casino atmosphere. By watching him gamble away majority of his income, it prompted me to try and attempt to do the same since he always comes home with money won from gambling. From there on, I tried doing his ways but I failed terribly and miserably. After such experience, I vowed to avoid gambling at all cost and to just try it again casually.

I also do think that majority of all gamblers started as casual gamblers and they slowly transcend into the next level.

I can also say that I am in the casual social gamblers group. I don't aim to make money out of gambling, just to pass time and try new games. With the rise of crypto casinos, it is now easy to play different games at the comfort of your home. So if you have extra funds, it is nice to treat yourself by playing in those casinos once in a while. Even betting small amount to sports that you really like is now possible. Who will judge you that you are betting like $1-10 in your favorite team? This is why I like crypto casinos and sportsbooks, you can play small.

Casual social.

Actual professional gamblers undertake immense training or research before they can be profitable. Just look at some of the blackjack card counting courses that are offered and how long they take people to grasp the concepts.

I just enjoy playing and chatting to people online. I don't care about whether I lose or gain money, because ultimately I know that I'm going to lose in the long run.

As i see, the closest to me is
Casual Social Gamblers
. I'm gambling just for fun but nor spending too much money and the main goal for me is entertainment. So it's hard to make me addict about gambling.

PS: What's the difference between Serious Social gamblers and Compulsive gamblers. Through description this two categories looks pretty the same
Serious Casual gamblers are the beginning to the problematic gambling. The gambler spend long time on gambling activities and this could slide him to be a compulsive gambler. With Compulsive gambler, life is entirely controlled by money and gambling and he won't admit his situation of addiction.

I can't still get these off my head ; how will a normal being comfortably survive with gambling? That's not a job anyways and what if you don't hit the jack pot, then you won't get anything

Professional gamblers prefer the legal system. This means they get to the casino or to the club. They spend and make money. Here if they experience loss, they wait for the opportunity. If they weren't able to make it, they take break.

With personality gamblers. They want to make money, through what way it comes doesn't matter. This makes him prefer illegal ways. For example hiding the cards, having a set of cards, deviating the opponents, etc. This mostly happens while playing as groups on the countryside.

Majority of actions does really depend on someones perception and motives in mind on which there are some commit out illegal things or crimes just because they do want to play and some doesnt really do something anything like that despite on having the same behavior just like on other one.
We've seen lots of types but basically they are just the same  on general sense and they do only differ on behaviour.

I don't think I am any of those, but maybe a casual social gambler? Gamble just for fun and entertainment. Nothing serious.
-snip-
Relief and Escape Gamblers
These are gamblers who prefer gambling as an alternate to drug to keep themselves engaged. This kind of gamblers use gambling to get relief. These people spend lots of money in a short term. Gambling is done same as drinking to fulfill their emotion.
-snip-
You mean as a coping mechanism for their addiction, they start gambling? Isn't that equally very bad for them? How mean how is getting addicted to gambling any different than being addicted to drugs? Both ruins life and makes them financially unstable.
-snip-
Compulsive Gamblers
Majority of the gamblers fall under this category. Even I'm under this category. People never admit they're getting into addiction, but the spending time and money won't stop even when the loss continues. These category gamblers keeps chasing the losses. Compulsive gambling is very danger to life.
-snip-
This one is worse not just dangerous. They are the real gambling addict. As long as they don't admit their addiction for gambling, they will never be able to stop. Since you say you are under this category, go get some help before its too late.
