As i see, the closest to me is
Casual Social Gamblers. I'm gambling just for fun but nor spending too much money and the main goal for me is entertainment. So it's hard to make me addict about gambling.

PS: What's the difference between Serious Social gamblers and Compulsive gamblers. Through description this two categories looks pretty the same

Maybe this (Compulsive Gamblers)? I don't know, sometimes I gamble too much but I don' want to admit I have this little addiction in my system already. I just can't resist putting a bet everytime there's a game on my favorite basketball league, but maybe that's just how gamblers think, they spend money and enjoy, so I'm hoping one day that I will not be spending anymore, instead I'll be investing and ripping out profits from gambling, wild dream, right?

Compulsive Gamblers

Im finding myself falling into this category which is why i dont really gamble that much because om not really that good on handling out my emotion
which i do seldom play because i do find out a big problem not only on my emotion but also with my finances.

Sometimes i do play when i do like to meet up some friends online or im much bored and do go all in in few bets just to ease the
stress i did have.

I suggest making a poll so it's easy to know what the community of gamblers here thinks.

Me, I fall in "Casual Social Gamblers", yeah, I'm not so serious in gambling, I just have fun and it's more fun to gamble with your friends, you know, drink some beer while gambling, that would add some confidence in putting a high stake. Fortunately, I still maintained that discipline even if I do drink while gambling, something I learn from years of gambling experience.

I think I fall in the compulsive gambler type but thanks to the pandemic, it really changes the way I gamble as most of the cockpit arenas which I frequently went to were closed and it forces me to stay at home. This pandemic not only brought negative things but has also had a positive impact on my life personally.

With online gambling, I tried to be more acquainted which how professional gamblers make a living out of it and hopefully become one someday.

Me, Casual gambler maybe.
As the description says, gambler who gambles occasionally primarily because he wants to enjoy.
In my case, I have been gambling through sports betting, but I didn't have to bet on every team who plays. I only pick a handful of my favourite teams including my most favourite team as well.
Therefore, I think I fall under the casual gambler.

Casual Social gambler.

When i do play i do really love to play and interact with fellow gamblers and to enjoy myself and thats the way i do entertain out aside on playing gambling itself.Im also on that conservative gambler on where i do make tries on things which i havent encountered before.
When something that pokes up my interest then thats the time i do consider on making out some bets.

I would say I'm a " Casual Social Gamblers " as well.

And even if I have multiple losses, I don't have the urge to come back and recoup my losses. Most of the time when I go in offline casino's it's with my friends to enjoy the game and the night with them. Now, I'm into sports betting, but I have total control of everything, just have my budget for a day or two of gambling and that's it.

I guess I fall here -Conservative Gamblers-, I am still on my experimental stage now but soon enough I will become a professional gambler as that's my ultimate goal in life, you know, making a living out of gambling is such liberty and I know I can only do that if I would be able to develop some consistency. Experience and knowledge combined, it will create a good strategy, and one day for sure I'll get it.

I’m a conservative gambler who plays at least once per month, so its more of a casual gambling and I also enjoy it without any pressure since gambling is to have fun but if you do serious about it, know the risk always. We all have different reasons to gamble, enjoy your choice and have fun in gambling but don’t forget to control yourself so you wont get addict in gambling.

This category fits for me, I'm really enjoying playing occasionally every time I got a free time since gambling is really not my passion and I'd rather trade than to gamble all the time. I see this as a risky market to deal with so spending lesser time is a good option for me to stay out of it and prevent from a possible addiction.

It seems to me that the best I fit the description

Relief and Escape Gamblers

In past I used to have periods where I played quite often (3-4 times a week) even for several months. Now it looks rather like that I play twice a month, I allocate a larger amount for it, but it is planned in advance so that in case of a loss it will not cause me any problems.

Casual gambler as well because I have my regular job and I just gamble with my friends sometimes and when it comes to online gambling, I don't always have funds for this so I'm more on casual and I'm also avoiding the possibility of getting addicted on gambling that's why its better for me to spend limited time only.

More on casual gambler since I don’t always have enough capital to gamble and I only gamble to have some pleasure, there’s no need for me to get more serious in gambling. Though if I see opportunity on sports betting, I’ll make sure to grab that opportunity since that could bring profit to me.

I don't see myself in any of these groups, but this is probably the closest one... without this negative shit! If you gamble with what you can afford to lose you will not be stressed about it, simple as that!


This is a bit stretched... "conservative gambler"! I believe we all have some dose of curiosity and we all like to try new things...

This psychological stuff can be so confusing sometimes! I don't like tags, we are all humans with our own way of thinking!

I am a casual social gambler as I hardly gamble these days and I didn't gamble like an addicted person ever before. Gambling is in my nerves but not as an addiction, as a habit with limitations that I follow to keep control on my money I use while gambling. It is true that many gamblers don't commit that they are addicted either due to being unknown of their activities, or due to shame and guilt.

Perhaps I fall under casual social gamblers. I don't really care much about gaining profits or making money from whatever I'm doing on the weekends. I'm just there to kill time and see if my luck is really up to something on that particular instance and that's it. Never exceeded on my budget, nor ever planned to go above and beyond my limits as I believe that it will catch up to me at some point, up until I spend money that is not really something I want to lose.

Looking at all the type of gamblers as you mentioned, I can consider myself as Casual Social Gamblers.
I knew gambling for the first time because gambling was like a tradition in the area where I live.
Many people did gamble against others (friends, neighbors, or even family members) when I was young.
From that time I learned about it and started to gamble with friends in some social special occasions.

When it comes to my gambling behavior then I do fall into this type on which on that relief and escape on the times I do feel some pressure and stress on everyday living.Yeah, losing money is stressful too but I had already anticipated that I would lose in the end so it doesn't matter.

Conservative gambler? Yes, I do test out on something which is something new specially if I do able to see some new gambling games
too.

Professional Gamblers
                    These are gamblers who make their living out of gambling. Professional ones aren't addicted and they have the tolerance, patience,self control with which they make decisions whether to continue or take a break.

Casual Social Gamblers
                    These are like Social drinkers who take alcohol on special occasions. These kind of gamblers prefer gambling as a way to have fun with friends. Winning is not the ultimate with these gamblers. They allocate fund and enjoy using it.

Serious Social Gamblers
                    Serious social gamblers rely on gambling for life. It can make positive as well as negative impact on life. When things go negative, automatically there'll be stress, anxiety, family problem, and this disturbs the entire living atmosphere.

Relief and Escape Gamblers
                    These are gamblers who prefer gambling as an alternate to drug to keep themselves engaged. This kind of gamblers use gambling to get relief. These people spend lots of money in a short term. Gambling is done same as drinking to fulfill their emotion.

Conservative Gamblers
                    There is a certain group of people who wish to try everything. Conservative gamblers fall under this, because these gamblers want to try and experience what is in it. Here some turn to be problematic gamblers and gets addicted.

Personality Gamblers
                    This is the worst among the different types, because the aim is to make money. Important thing, they never think of anything. They do cheats, lies, do all illegal things to win in the gambling. They wish to be on the top.

Compulsive Gamblers
                    Majority of the gamblers fall under this category. Even I'm under this category. People never admit they're getting into addiction, but the spending time and money won't stop even when the loss continues. These category gamblers keeps chasing the losses. Compulsive gambling is very danger to life.
