There is no comparability between the two. Buying tokens is the fastest way to make a profit, but you need to face a lot of dangers, and the bounty task does not require investment, but you may face a time-consuming dilemma!
I start with bounties before 2 weeks, look on them like free money coz have few websites and social network profiles with high number of followers/likes, near my main job (an ofc waiting btc on about 30k

You can do the both because they are both profitable and if you are very good at making decision and also do a very good research before you invest or join the bounty, you will find good and profitable project and token to buy. You can buy a token and still take part in the campaign to increase your profit.
Myself i am doing both investing and working bounty because we can able to learn many things about the company while working. So both the investing and bounty will help us to get more information about the company and their future goals.
If you want to make a profit quickly, of course, when the trader is faster, if you don't want to bear the risk of investment, then you should choose a bounty!
You can do both if you have the money and also time to promote the project. If you are sure that a particular project is promising, you can buy the token and hold for as long as the price is high enough to make profit, you can also do bounty as long as you find a a good projects because at the end you get token as rewards and if the project is successful, you will make more profit.

You can do both, you can participate to the bounty campaign that you would like to invest in, so that you can contribute to the success of the project that you invested in. But make sure that you make a lot of research first about the ICO project before you start to invest, to avoid of wasting a lot of money and wasting time as well.
If you have enough money and wish to invest on the good project, I see you will not want to waste your money on work with them get the tokens. Instead of that you will go to invest your money and earn the tokens right.
Do that if you are whale, if you want to get the tokens and do not want to loose your hard earned money also means you should go with the bounty and make the tokens for helping them in promotion.

If you don't have enough funds and have a lot of free time then the good choice for you is to do Bounty... But if your situation is reversed like don't have much free time but lot of funds the do investing..
If you have free time. You should join that bounty. That's a good choice. Do both. It will help you make more profit if the ICO is successful. If you only have money and no free time, buy ico. I rarely see anyone buy ICO and join the bounty at the same time
For me i prefer to do bounty, as you will have a leverage to HODL these tokens and wait for the bull run.

You can actually do both, invest in the token and hold for it to become successful and participate in the bounty as you also get this token for free thereby increasing your profit when it is successful but take your time to do a research and make sure the project is a good one before you decide to invest or participate in the campaign.
I think if you can ensure that it's a good ICO project to invest in so you should buy token directly by joining private sale or presale cause you can get big bonus from this periods beside that you can trade your token eariler than bounty hunter right after token get listed on exchange. Bounty hunters often have to wait about 1 month after ICO ended to get token and be able to trade on exchange but it's a safe way to get token cause they just need to invest their free time

Well you can do both, its only a matter of time and if you think that this project have big potential to success, investing is more profitable than doing bounty.
For me I think the simple strategy is to Invest what you can afford to loose on Crypto then start doing Bounties/Airdrops only adding investment if you are really believing in a project otherwise you could "Trade" some of your investments or bounties to different Cryptos that would be a better Hodl.

Buying tokens needs a capital like bitcoin and ethereum. Participating in their bounty only needs your time and effort as your capital. If the project failed you will not regret too much if you just joined in their campaign but if you buy their tokens and the project failed surely you loss your caital. They are both good idea to earn more profit through the projects of ICO but always be careful for the projects you wantvto invest in.
