I prefer to trade Bitcoin only because Bitcoin is one of the things that go up in value and a bunch of people see it as a thing to invest with when the price rises, I try to do the other thing and try to make more Bitcoin just so I could prove that I could do it. When I make the amount of Bitcoin that I want I try to hold onto it within another investment so I could sort of get paid dividends later on when I don’t really expect it
If you answer the question that it is better to invest in your trade, then probably only the person who tried these kinds of earnings can answer, but it seems to me that they should not be considered simultaneously because they have different approaches at all.

Yes i treat investment as a safe zone or back up for me also because i do both of them and i do day trading which i generate decent profit everyday and if i get some loss from trading, i can still recover the losses from my investment because if you have investment then it means that you have passive income that can help you to regain some loss and also add money to your wallet. If you cannot find trusted online site for investment then you can invest your money in real life products like gold or silver and you can also invest some money in trading which will give you total control on your funds and your action and decisions will decide what amount of profits you make from it.

Investment is not limited only to altcoins there are many other places in real world to invest your money and I think its better to go for both things in order to have good balance as if one fails you can expect some profits from the other one.
Although I'm not proficient in trading, but I recommend trading is better than investment, I think investing is more at risk of losing by scam websites, if you trade even if you do not get profit, but you still have coins and you will not lose all The coin you have.
