Centra card is getting famous nowadays and I wonder why haven't you included that in your list. I wanted to know if a crypto card is useful in a country where no shop or ATM accepts crypto. In such case what are the uses that a crypto can card give us ? For example, I live in India and we are in the phase of legalizing Bitcoin but haven't yet legalized it completely. There are no shops here where we can do Bitcoin transactions. So buying a crypto card will be useless right ? So can somebody tell me its uses ?

Here is one that I have not seen mentioned,  RADIX.  This currency is the only one that I know of that do not have a 3rd party clearing such as VISA or MC in the mix.  RADIX debit cards will go directly from the point of sale terminal (POS) to your personal RADIX wallet.dat ... just thought I would mention this as it is scheduled to launch later this year.

Can I load other crypto coins onto the Radix card like XMR, or do I have to buy the radix native coin?

a work colleauge of mine ordered a tenex card but there is a wait of a few weeks. From what he has been telling me and what i have read about tenex i would consider it myself for the future.

When more more shops start accepting bitcoin/altcoins these solutions would succeed, imo. And what about China BTC trading ban will it affect shops that accept crypto tokens?

I tried to research some payment card projects and would be interested in your opinion. If I forgot some legit projects, I would be happy if you suggest them to me.

- Proxy Card (PRXY)
- Monaco (MCO)
- TenX (PAY)
- Token Card (TKN)
- Plutus (PLU)
- BlockPay (BLOCKPAY)

I am personally interested in Proxy Card, because the NFC solution is innovative and more useful than normal credit cards imho.

BlockPay is dead, because one of the founders ran away with a lot of tokens.

Proxy Card seems legit. There will be an upcoming token sale in the next time. Team is extremely motivated and not focused on profit. I think they really try to deliver a great product. Have a look at their latest video, where they introduce their product: https://www.facebook.com/CardProxy/videos

Plutus also has many interesting and high skilled team members and i they deliver, this could be huge and price should rise a lot. Team seems to be working hard behind the scences: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.20868828

TenX, Monaco and Token Card went too well for me in the last weeks, so not investing here.

PLU and Proxy Card need still to be dicovered by the Market Makers imho. What other payment solutions are you currently watching? Feel free to join this discussion.

Cryptopay is probably one of the great options for payment transactions. It's Safe

and anonymous for the most part.

Are you going to be investing into their ICO ?

I think TenX probably have a good position as it has strong backing, but I would also pay attention to other successful payment company coming to the cryto world,

I would like to recommend you to buy some PAY (TenX) coin since the dev team has already release some useful credit card

So many project .. i think most of them will success somehow..
each one will have his peace in the market
like its happening now with the real money

I couldn't agree more with you.
VISA will be the dominant brand soon as they are the first ones to take on these 3rd-party Crypto payment companies. In that range, I believe there's also another player which could arise to compete

I believe that CryptoPay is/will continue being one of the most dominant players, the owners have master degrees from UK universities in banking & finances & Eric Benz, the company's International Director, has a wide range of connections and a vast network in the payment processing industry. I think they're doing an awesome thing by raising funds for the creation of a trading platform between BTC-#STOCK SYMBOL#

TenX & Monaco are possibly great prospects, we'll see what the future holds for them.

So ask yourself this:

If you're in the supermarket and want to pay your bread and butter. You have to choice to pay with your credit card (and pay the fees) or to pay with btc, dash or whatever the currency is you're holding directly.

What option will you choose? I don't think that will be the credit card.

In a world where blockchain technology has reached mass adoption - I don't think there is any real use for credit cards.

The cards themselves would merely be a gateway for mass adoption. It will be much easier in the short term to get people to use something they are familiar with - i.e. a credit card. While the crypto/blockchain aspect happens behind the scenes, it can be a tool to educate the public and bring crypto mainstream. This will help pave the way for a better crypto payment system.

As I said in that post, it's a transitional solution. Which is not interesting to me as a pure long termer. It's possible (not a sure thing) payment volume shifts to cards, but it will then eventually shift out of cards leaving TenX, Monaco and the like to go bust.

I think tenX will hold the record for most successful ICO in this category because these chinese regulations make it difficult to compete but i like how centra is coming about

Personally I will not invest in any crypto card tokens. Never.

Why? Because I am a long term only investor.

Crypto Credit Cards might help to get mass adoption in crypto -  but only as a transitional solution.

Cards are outdated. In Asia, many regions even jumped the card technology and went directly to mobile payments with things they carry around anyway - mobilephones, smart watches etc.. In other regions the general direction payments are heading is also not cards. Also, credit cards negate the actual intention of crypto currencies - in particular privacy and the removal of the need for a middle man.

The real winners are going to be

a) cryptos with instant transactions themselves
b) multifunctional wallets

The winners might be different from a) to b) in different regions or a combination of both.

So ask yourself this:

I have pre-ordered a metal Monaco card. I feel the .75% cash-back they offer is the best in the market. also the European roll out will take place pretty soon. I was aching for a decent way to spend crypto in real life.

From a token holders point of view TenX seems to be best because they tried to constructed their erc20 in way that it will pay you dividends on your investment.

one of these will be big at some point, no doubt. my money is on tenx but i could be wrong, cards will be huge in 2018.

Once we get some payment solutions to go mainstream, it will be a huge benefit to the entire crypto market. Also with the number of fiat cards that already exist, I think there is room for several crypto cards in the market once they take off.
