I think it's better for you to do your own research because there are so many choices of altcoins that you can invest in. maybe you can look at the coinmarketcap list because there are many altcoins that have quite good potential in the future and can give you profits. than you have to ask other people who are not necessarily the truth.

Every coin in this market has risk even on long term, and we just need to balance the risk by picking a good coin, fully understand how it works and trust their team so we can choose what type of risk are we facing.

Bitcoin investment have minimized risk but not earn huge profit like altcoin although with small fund for investing, different when try trading with altcoin price could pump above 100% and almost impossible chance we can earn higher profit with bitcoin. But you right with bigger risk in front us when investing with altcoin, many time altcoin price drop drastically more than 200% just few weeks only. Nowadays what ever altcoin kinds not guarantee without drop drastically although have clear fundamental, maybe WAVES coins become example how drastically drop from all time high raising last several months above $50 and right now Waves coin drop under $5 and this coins have clear fundamental.

If you are investing for long term then say 1 to 10 coinmarketcap to invest all the coins available.There is very less risk since you are new so I will give you this advice There is no reason to lose money by buying and investing unnecessarily in sheet coins.But I will give you a better decision Bitcoin Ethereum and BNB buy all these coins and invest.There will be no risk in your investment.

I will tell you that if you desire for short term then this time will be not suitable as highly fluctuated conditions occurs now so waiting should be good for the harsh condition to go away but if you behave as a long term investor so just buy bitcoin and just wait for ups price.

There are many altcoins in the market and is difficult to know the ones that will double it price as soon as possible so you can do your research and take the appropriate risk that is necessary.
