I usually trade in BTC / ALT coins, I still think both trading methods are risky but fiat / btc has little bit low risk as compared to other options. Fiat is something a stable valued currency and one can have a safe position in critical condition but since no crypto currency has a stable value there is risk associated with it. According to the rule of ‘high risk high returns, low risk low return’ BTC / AlT has more profitability but still that depends on the trader and his knowledge/experience.
At present, I am doing a research on the most profitable trading method and I am wondering: Is it better to do btc/fiat trading or btc/altcoin trading?

I have a smaller experience on both the methods, and I came to know that trading with BTC and altcoins have more potential to make us to earn bigger amount of money within shortest time , while in trade of Bitcoin and fiat you will have to wait longer.

Yeah, it's a quick, precise, and profitable. However, before taking a decision, it would be better we saw the market data a few months ago. because such data can sometimes give the points against a decision we will do for trading.

The best method for me so far, is pick your coin learn everything about it, learn its price, have patience buy on deep sell on mid, repeat just dont lets your emotion to make you greed hungry or bag hold a shit !

If you have a good amount at start you can make arbitrage between two exchanges,

I'm making much more on Alt coins - I hold funds in BTC and do the odd trade - but most of my trading is on alt coins. I research each one before investing, and time the investments well. XMG and LSK have been doing well for me lately.
I think trading altcoins will bring in more profit, if you glue your eyes to the charts to know when to make your move. You can store your profits as monero or any other long term altcoin that will appreciate in price with time.
You will find useful information here, but the most important aspects you will learn from the experience.

There's no way to know this because there is wide variation in how altcoins and bitcoin perform. Some days you could make more money trading BTC/altcoins other days BTC/USD. It also depends greatly on the altcoin. Right now, etherium may be the hottest altcoin, but that can change.

both of these ways can both be good and bad, and you can make profit or even lose money with both of them.
so that is why i think you should try both with small amounts or on something like a dummy account and do some trial and error and see if you can make it work, and then choose the one that you feel like you are better at.
besides there is no reason to choose only one. you can do both as many investors do. they get in altcoin market when bitcoin is at stable stage with little fluctuation and they liquidate all their altcoins as soon as they see bitcoin moving (actually this is one of the reasons why altcoin prices go down when BTC price goes to the moon)
May you choose btc/altcoins coz there are many places for btc/altcoin like bittrex,c-cex,yobit,cryptopia, anf may more it good to trade altcoin bcoz there are may ppl trading there your easy to get income and extra money for that and you can see your profit by doing trading bitcoin/altcoi.

for my experience for highest profit and fast to do in btc/altcoin but the risk more high too, but if you have good patient and big capital you can to do btc/fiat, cause i dont have big capital so i'm trading only in btc/altcoin and exchange btc profit to my local currency
Yeah, it is true that trading BTC/Altcoin is profitable compared to BTC/Fiat. But the fact is, when you trade Altcoin, you are not assured with the fulctuation because Altcoin is still in a development period. Sometimes it is manipulated by the developers to increase and decrease its price. And, for the Fiat, it needs a huge capital for you to feel your profit. In terms of security, your BTC is secured the fact that bitcoin is now fully developed that it will not cause the manipulation of price. But, you need to be good at analyzing the pattern or the movement of the market to be able to have a decent profit.

I think litecoin is one of the stable price or slow price movement but sometimes the price is increase fast just like before.. butyou can be still holding it for a long time because its safe to hold litecoin..
Choosing lots of safe is better to make more profit.. dogecoin monero cbx or any altcoin that live long..

Strictly in terms of % gains (and risk), altcoin trading will give you larger gains and losses. Having said that, you can't do huge volume on most altcoins -- impossible to get in and out of large positions. So if you want to do high volume and/or large positions, btc/fiat (or possibly eth/btc or ltc/cny) are your only choices.
