Which candidate will back Bitcoin? Probably none of them. But some of them might "front" it.

Bitcoin startups are booming. Presidents back the big corporations, if some (bitcoin) companies are very successful they will back them.  A few decades from now, digital currencies will be backed by the government.

I think it's Hillary, to try and hide the naughty things that she and Bill have done with the Clinton foundation.

haha , For me its Hilary also.  believe that she will backup the bitcoin cryptocurrency. She is more open minded coapared to Trump I think and would really open for the other financial system such as bitcoin. This is only my opinion.

I think it would be Trump because he is a businessman.  And maybe because if he won he is open to possibilities and some innovations.  And since it is sure that he knows stocks well, he already knew the bitcoin thing.  If someone pushes it to him, all the bitcoins capabilities and qualities he may agree with it and make some plan.

I am not as worried about who will back as I am who will leave it the hell alone. It's decentralized and out of the hands of government. The last thing Bitcoin needs is the government trying to influence it one way or the other.

Gary johnson, libertarian party. Look him up. He's gaining traction, if he can land a spot in the debates then he has a true chance.

He is going to get less than 4% of the vote in November, and he is not going to win any of the electoral college votes. The current POTUS election is essentially a two-way contest between Trump and Clinton. And in my opinion, Trump may be more favorable to Bitcoin, as we all know about the friendship which Hitlery enjoys with the banking cartels.

Um, declaring yourself all in with Bitcoin might gain you a few hundred votes and alienate all the millions who still think it's a ponzi. The libertarian fella is accepting it. Expect nothing but silence from the big dogs.

At first they might (they of course won't, but just for the sake of this thread) back Bitcoin and say it's a great technology that offers everyone many benefits. But once they are chosen, they will be like "Uh, Bitcoin? What's that? Can't remember having mentioned Bitcoin even once!!".

I stand with Ukraine.
I don't know what they will really do, but I think both of them have a team of professionals who can understand the benefits of supporting Bitcoin. I may be wrong because I have never been to the USA but from what I know this country is going in the right direction, slowly but steadily. Regardless of who will win the elections they will support Bitcoin sooner or later.

I think Trump will not like Bitcoin and will try to ban it if he comes to power as he seems very orthodox

bitcoin doesn't need backing from anyone. and no president will back bitcoin any time soon with the current situation they have. they do not like bitcoin because it is decentralized and will prevent the government from having the total control over money and printing it.

and if you hear some of them talk about bitcoin, pay more attention to what they say and you can easily see that they are not talking about "bitcoin" but instead they are talking about "blockchain" and using it for themselves to make their own altcoin Smiley
And until this time from a lot of source of media and a site news I just always seeing the candidate is always exposing about blockchain and not yet about bitcoin, and i sure if that is just they're assuming if the system of blockchain is really helpful for them and seeing the bitcoin it just a currency or payment tool.

Hmmm... I am doubt about their statement will back and support bitcoin (no one from them), because they are politician who want wins on  presidential election and i think they don't have much time for back and support bitcoin. But it is just my opinion and analysis.

Clinton would never bother with Bitcoin. She's a complete moron when it comes to the 21st century technology. I'm not sure if it's her age or her basic incompetence. She has millions funnel to her and her husband in speaking fees, she's fine on her financials and doesn't Bitcoin.

i think not. bitcoin has some criminal fame...like it's used to buy arms and drugs..so it's PR risk
Bitcoin are using in dark net or in the dark web they using bitcoin to do illegal things or activities either because if they gonna use bitcoin as a payment it can hide their identities as human and it will keep your privary safe or locked . and they can use bitcoin for illegal activities and buying drugs something like that.

Bitcoin might not be in the president's list of important matters at present, but it will be in 2024, two elections from now.
Digital currencies would have grown wings by then.

If digital currencies don't have wings within a possible 8 year term of the next sitting U.S. president then I would be a bit worried about the future.

The only way I see this happening though is if we are still floating Bitcoin with altcoin pump and dump fights and hacking exchanges.

All depends on how the community matures.

digital currencies are doing well and there is nothing to worry about,. they are all becoming more and more popular. well mainly bitcoin and in 8 years bitcoin will be on top of all the currencies.

also pump and dump of altcoins and hacking and tornado in some other country has nothing to do with the future of them. Cheesy

When you look the situation at the first glance it seems thar Trump would be more likely to back the Bitcoin. He's coming from the business world and probably has the better feeling and way of thinking when it comes to things like Bitcoin. On the other hand Clinton seems to be more rational, maybe more aware now embracing Bitcoin would be a wise thing to do. But in reality Bitcoin is not important issue for neither of them because it is not in the political focus at the moment.
