What do you say?

It seems Clinton being all in on Goldman Sachs will be for Bitcoin.

Trump on the other hand seems to have something else in mind.
Since bitcoin is a decentralized currency I highly doubt Trump would support any such thing US has not contol over. Moreover most bitcoin mining is in China which is another reason Trump would try to kill bitcoin

The better question would be: who will impose further regulations against Bitcoin?
I do not see any of the two main candidates, Clinton or Trump, outright endorsing Bitcoin.

If anyone would endorse it it would be Jill Stein or Gary Johnson.

Neither. None of them will 'back' bitcoin. If they do, they're gonna get a lot of heat/flak from the banking institutions, etc. Detractors would say, 'see, they'd rather support a foreign/digital currency than our own currency'. Patriotism and so on.  Especially since bitcoin/crypto users are a very very small minority. On the other hand, US is known as top world power, also one of the leaders in innovation and such, so.. nah. Extremely unlikely.

Neither candidate will outright show support for bitcoin, both will have knowledge on the existence of bitcoin or if they do not it would really surprise me.

Regarding all the talk of the rigging of elections and Clinton stealing it from Trump, wouldn't it be a perfect use for the blockchain.

I would say neither but if I had to pick one.

Hillary seems pretty set in her ways and has been in politics FOREVER
and would take the safe route by not backing it. I could see moron trump
somehow getting a stake in some and of course if it benefits him he would
back it.
well there's also another candidate beside of those two,and i think from it there's also few candidate that know bitcoin or even supporting it,i wonder why people only consider hillary and trump as the "only" candidate when anothers are exist and could potentially be even better than these two

I do not even understand what this topic about. To back bitcoin? Isn't bitcoin more popular in States then anywhere else? I heard it will be open first ATM that accept bitcoins exactly in the USA. And I think the first bank that will work with bitcoin will be opened there as well.

There are only rumors and nothing real.

I don`t think that US presidential candidaters care about bitcoin.

The Bitcoin world is just too small.Hope that we will grow and gain influence.

The candidate that will support it the most is Gary Johnson (Libertarian).

He's also the most qualified candidate...isn't being investigated for illegal activity, hasn't been caught in a lie about his public affairs, doesn't come across as a self-entitled ass, the list goes on but I'll digress.

What do you mean by "back". Do you mean promote? Advance the acceptance of? Or do you mean not be an enemy to bitcoin. I don't think Clinton or Trump know anything about bitcoin, let alone would they understand or appreciate it. So as long as they're not trying to limit the use of bitcoin, their essential backing it.
But I never see Gary john is like the another candidate is always appearing on the media and I think Gary is not included in the candidate at this time, sorry if I'm wrong but that is according to my brain, because to rarely for finding Gary johnson in media in this time.
And Gary is a candidate who is accept bitcoin donation in his campaign?

None of the above, Why? because H Clinton is too conservative and old school, and she has a history with the banks and also NO for Trump, because he is a wise ass, who thinks he is the only person who has a opinion or any good ideas.

There is zero incentive for them to make money from this, because it can be used for capital flight when the dollar hits rock bottom soon, and people can use it to avoid taxes. They will ignore the new jobs and the extra taxes that can be derived from that, if they allow Bitcoin business to flourish.

NONE.

they may give a speech about it so that to lead people into thinking they are backing bitcoin but that speech will be carefully worded to never say directly anything about bitcoin and backing it up.

no government will back bitcoin for the foreseeable future. and every time they say anything about it be sure that they are talking about "blockchain" and adopting the technology alone not bitcoin.

Depend on whether Trump owns any BTC - all the guy cares about is himself so if something benefits him or his businesses he's all for it.
Yes its true, i have also heard in different places that trump own good amount of bitcoin and he also seems to keeping eye on price. If this is true than after he became US president, it is quite sure he would be in complete favour of bitcoin. Trump cares is about his money, his empire and his investments, so he will surely care about bitcoin if he has some (may be worth of million).

My first impression is that Trump would be more likely to embrace BTC than Clinton. All in on Goldman Sachs? That is bad for Bitcoin. If they really have any interest in cryptocurrencies it is only because they could make money with it and to their own advantage. They do not care about anything else.

Trump on the other hand is more open minded when it comes to these things. He might be skeptical and not all out in the beginning but give him time to understand. He was the candidate that said that the war on drugs has failed and that regulation is the way to control it and to lessen the crimes connected to it. That is a very radical statement. Imagine how he will think about BTC and cryptocurrencies if he has truly understood it.

I  don't expect both of them to support bitcoin. Why would they? bitcoin has always stood up against ending the power of  Central banks and Governments who by simply creating money and controlling the lives of people by the power of "DEBT" . The closest thing we can expect from any politicians or the Government would be adopting the block chain technology into various fields where it's application can same money and improve efficiency.

Bitcoin has always been pictured by politicians as illicit and bad thing to own. It's like we you say you own bitcoin, there are some people who would consider you as a hacker or someone involved in drugs. But it's nice to see that this perspective is changing and more people are coming to bitcoin and adopting it as a instrument for investment.

I'm sorry to say this but don't get your hopes up too high, neither Trump or Hillary will back bitcoin they don't even care about it because they have nothing to earn(at least in the present or in the near future) let's hope Bitcoin is going to grow so much in the next years that it won't need any corrupted politician's help. And generally speaking, I expect only the worst from the 99% of politicians, especially these two are the worst presidential candidates that I remember until now,I'm afraid that whoever wins we are screwed  Undecided
