Myetherwallet is the best choice to you have erc 20 tokens, I never seen the applications which supports tokens based on the ethereum. There are few wallet providers give the way to access some tokens on there website and application.
But they will remove whenever they want other tokens to be listed.

As you are looking for the web-based best wallet then For ERC20, myetherwallet can be the best choice for you or you may try with a chrome extension wallet which is Metamask. Usually, I recommend people the Metamask wallet, this is very easy to use and secured too. And without the Mewconnect app, Myetherwallet is not safe enough. Therefore you can use Myetherwallet with any hardware wallet.

as far as i know, MEW has used metamask completely because it is no longer possible to switch to the old version, so using MEW is certainly the right choice even though any risk in this circle will definitely exist and we must realize that because nothing is completely safe if you are still careless in any case

I think MetaMask is not very secure as a web wallet. If you have more cryptocurrency assets, I recommend you buy a hardware wallet, which is more reliable.

Metamask is a secure wallet but i think it will be good if you hold just a few ETH in there so in case that metamask is got hacked you don't loss to much
but Hardware wallet is good but they are a little bit expensive
Agree, the most useful ones are the desktop wallets: Mycrypto. The Metamask and other ERC-20 token wallets don't have enough security implementations, unfortunately. The easily hackable wallets are online, I prefer to hold my altcoins on the hardware wallets too. It is not expensive considering the $60 price tag for the lowest value hardware wallets like Nano Ledger, afaik.

Stay away from web based wallets like xapo and blockchain, they give users only 50% access to their funds, it's better to use desktop wallets than web wallets they aren't safe at all

Many choices for ERC20 wallets. Metamask is a wallet that I often use because it is very easy to use and can be integrated directly with decentralized Exchange such as Etherdelta, Forkdelta and others. But besides Metamask I also use Mycrypto Wallet Deskop.

i thought metamask is only a tool  ( browser plugin/extension ) that is being used to some sites that requires metamask   . though you can import  private keys on it so i think that still counts as a wallet if thats what you think  ?  for the erc20 wallet im using myetherwallet  . ive been using the wallet for almost 3 years now and so far so good , i can still see my coins on it and i can still access the wallet with no problems  . i dont consider it the best though because its still vulnerable to attacks  .

Not the best but I have been using it for 2 years. For smartphones, I use a Trustwallet and Imtoken of course. And for the Web or desktop, I use Metamask and Myetherwallet. All is safe until now if not do a strange transaction that allows it to be phishing.

As a bounty hunter, I really do not like myetherwallet because when you receive nay ERC-20 token, you have to manually add the tokens before you can view or send it, so even though you said that web based wallets are better, I have to recommend my best wallet which are not web based, when you receive ERC-20 tokens, these wallets tend to add them automatically and one of them would even alert you on any new incoming transactions, the name of this wallet is imtoken and another favourite of mine is Trust wallet, I have been using these two wallets for years with no issues.
indeed there are some tokens that have not been registered in myetherwallet that is why you have to enter the symbol and smart contract of the token manually but it is not too difficult to do because you can get the information needed from etherscan or from its founder directly, and so far I use myetherwallet still safe and the best erc20 wallet in my experience.

according to my recommendation for my community, the best wallet to store ERC20 tokens is myetherwallet and usually I promote them to use a wallet from myetherwallet, because it is easier to make transactions and can access the wallet quickly using a private key, besides that we can also re-check to look back at the wallet address before sending it, some additional display on their website that is able to set the amount of gas limit and how much Gwei is needed for transaction costs, although the drawback is that one of them is to add tokens manually if they have not been registered on meyetherwallet unlike metamask no longer need fill in the number of decimal places and the token symbol

Personally, I chose the myetherwallet wallet. Since it is very convenient and practical, you can store a lot of different tokens in your wallet. The wallet also offers convenient conditions for creating transactions that are stored in complete security.

If you use your computer regularly then I think you should choose myetherwallet. This is the best and safest wallet for ERC20 tokens, and if you use your phone regularly you should choose Trustwallet, it is also very safe and extremely easy to use. I have used a lot of wallets and apps before, and these are the 2 best wallets and apps I have felt
I think that storing money on the phone is a very bad idea. The easiest way to hack a wallet is if it is on your mobile device. Of course, if the phone is not connected to the Internet then it is reliable and safe. In this case, the phone will be like a cold wallet.
There are still some mobile wallet which is good at storing your funds, not all mobile apps wallet is a bad wallet and an easy target for hackers. It is not actually a bad idea since it also gives the same security to users like trustwallet. There are still some users who prefer using their mobile phone to store their funds so I think it is not a bad idea as you think.

To OP, if you are using computer, you can use myetherwallet, just be sure that the site you create the wallet is the real one and just make sure that you do not leaked any information of your wallet for your own security.

there are various of mobile wallets that supports all erc20 tokens, the ball is in your court pal, any wallet that supports ETH will definitely support erc20 tokens, Monarch wallet, HPB wallet, Myether, Jaxx, Trust, coinomi, you name it

I highly recommend OP to use desktop wallets more than an internet-based wallet, there are too many hacking because of the domain redirection and link manipulation, it's safer if you use a desktop version, but still goes down on how you can keep your password and passphrase safe.

I am fond of using Web Based Myetherwallet still now. Myetherwallet is now updated with few features like connecting Metamask, Mewconnect, Hardwarewallet. The best option to me is the connection of Myetherwallet with Metamask. I don;t have experience of using hardware wallet.
I am sharing the same opinion with your opinion. This is what I got from my personal experience. At present, the use of meta masks seems to be the safest.
