Yea blockchain.info is definitely a solid wallet, i think its safe to use it up to 10 bitcoin.

After that you need offline vault.

No, it's not. Blockchain.info is not a secure online wallet. Now, the only secure wallet which I can think of is GreenAddress. Blockchain.info seriously flawed. It may have been a secure online wallet earlier but not now.

are my wallet is secure ?
i use blockchain, i back up it and i restore to electrum wallet ( android) ?

After you import addresses, I suggest you to delete addresses from your Blockchain.info wallet and then I think you are secure. However, I recommend you to send all Bitcoins to new address generated in your wallet, here, Electrum.

By the way, does Electrum android support importing address?

I`ve used the Bitcoin Wallet for my Andoird Phone and think i got scammed.
i made an Transaction over 0.001 and everythings seems to be normal on the Wallet. The Coins as Payout. But still not showing up in my Profile where i wanted to Depostit - 100% trustfully.

reagrds

you got scammed from blockchain.info ?
im use it without any problem, can you share your Tx id ?

Some people here use the word "scam" very lightly. Blockchain.info is unreliable from time to time and they had their fair share of bugs, but I have never seen any scam related to the service.

I just regocnized that there are different Fees - Im Using The Core Wallet which has less Fees than other like Xapo, or Core(Mobile)

Regards

XAPO and coinbase is 0% fee satosi
so how many fee you get with core wallet Huh

are you get some satosi if you send your BTC Huh

I got up top 1 k Satoschi Fee sending by core wallet.. I think this is okay.  Smiley
That good and not bad Smiley
bitcoin core is best wallet if you can download and synchronize with block

+1 Bitcoin core is best.   However it takes a very long time.  If you don't have the time and/or HDD space go with electrum.   They are my second favorite by far.

that's what happen to me, I've download bitcoin core and must download all transaction. but my hdd doesn't have enough space Grin
so +1 for electrum.., Cheesy

It is hard choosing a wallet for the first time. It is your choice if you want it to be online or stored on a hard drive. This was one of the first links posted (https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet) but it is a really great site to pick a wallet for beginners.

Thank you for all the replies. It is a lot for me to soak in.
I am very new - I did get electrum and multibit working on my RasPi2. However never got MBHD to connect to server as easy that electrum did.

still trying to compile bitcoin core... this time I used the incompatible database option and we will see if it works.

There is a lot for me to learn.
I agree a local wallet is more secure. However that I have cloud-based options are nice.

thanks again
Anything hosted in the cloud isn't safe. Desktop clients is much better.

I also choose electrum, keep in mind downloading the bitcoin blockchain could take a bit and lots of space, well some people feel safer doing it i dont blame them, but i havent had any issue with electrum since I started using it.
Electrum is a SPV client which is generally quite secure but it must trust the miner to follow the rules and it doesn't offer as much anonymity and features and Bitcoin Core. You can easily attach a HDD to your computer or raspberry pi. Cheapest at my place starts at $50 for 1TB. Electrum is still okay for normal joe who don't need much anonymity.

There seems to be many wallet programs. Is one better than the other?

I am setting up a RasPi2 and leaning more towards MultiBit just because it looks easy to install... I have zero experience in this area and would love some input....

Thank you

well i always suggest ppl to use the bitcoin qt, but this is a problem if you want to run it on your RpasPi2 because of the HD nedeed, so if you want to run it at your RasPi2 i can suggest you that your Multibit chooise is the best atm.
