You should use search option for your question, there is many threads like yours. Also this is not proper board, move this (check move button) to Development & Technical Discussion

Your first choice should be Electrum, it is just what you ask for, it is light ( only need some 40 MB of download after install) , it is easy to use, you are in full control of your private keys and you have backup in form of seed words. Just use link in this post (to avoid fake wallets), create standard wallet and write down seed words ( be very careful with that ). Also set up strong and unique password for wallet.

Armory is not for you since it is also need BitcoinCore to be installed and completely synchronized.

I recommend Blockchain (web: blockchain.info)

Because Blockchain is a trusted and undoubtedly bitcoin wallet. We can see all bitcoin transactions like sending and receiving bitcoins from all blockchain accounts. Its security system can guarantee in every transaction and storage.

Another advantage is that blockchain makes it easy for merchants online merchant by preparing API technology. But behind all the advantages, still have shortcomings such as:
It is only possible to store bitcoin, meaning it can not yet store other coin coins such as etherum, litecoin etc.
For us as Indonesian people, in blockchain there is no bitcoin exchange service with rupiah currency. Instead of using blockchain we have to use another wallet as well.

The choice is between armory and electrum, I think.

What do you think?
If you're choosing in between desktop wallets then electrum is your best choice since its a lightweight wallet and you dont need to download the whole blockchain, and if you want some mobile wallets I'll recommend Mycelium and I'm using this two wallets for more than 2 years now.

I'm looking for a kind wallet which is secure, easy fast to use and I control the private key, so no online wallet.

I've used blockchain.info in the past but my account got hacked I suppose because I couldn't log in anymore. I didn't use 2 factor at that time.

BitcoinCore took a very long time to synchronize and a transaction took more than a month, I gave 0,001BTC miners fee to send BTC to an exchange wallet. Maybe the exchange was having some issues.

The choice is between armory and electrum, I think.

For longtimes used! BitcoinCore is the best choice! But you can used Mobile wallet for your coin!

Good choice you should avoid online wallets. Yes some of them provide you with backup option but as long as your keys on some bodies server the higher risk you have. As hackers might target them because they know if they get in they will have many wallets. You basically have two choices hardware wallets as somebody mentioned above ledger nano and trezor for instance
These come like USB stick and keys are on the device making it harder for anybody to get to them.

Or light wallets that keep keys on the device for desktop I'd recommend electrum and if you have android wallet electrum could be good as well but for Android I use this samurai wallet as I like their options.  Anyway you should be careful here not to install any untrustworthy softwares such as cracked which could contain malware etc.

Try to use the wallet hardware, one of them is Ledger Nano S, Ledger Nano S is a hardware that is created to provide cryptocurrency with high security level, ledger nano s is very safe to use for storing digital assets in today because it is impossible for hackers to take coin which is in the ledger nano s without having the device and also the 16 codes provided at first install even if the owner of the ledger nano s also can not access its own wallet if it is to lose the nano s ledger or also the 16 code.

Read the pinned topic in the beginners section: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/general-bitcoin-wallets-which-what-why-1631151
Also the article posted by one of our members here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guide-bitcoincryptocurrency-wallets-and-its-risks-updated-1082018-3743071

Tldr; if you own a good number of bitcoin or crypto in general, and you want to safely secure them, purchase a hardware wallet. Preferably a Trezor[1] or a Ledger Nano S[2].
