I now focus on bitcoin, but for altcoin, I prefer ETH, BNB, and LTC. I always liked trading with this asset and I think it won't hurt if you want to analyze it because now the price is also good for us to get more coins.
Altcoin which indeed has a ranking in the top 10 such as eth, ltc and several other alt coins tends to be safer to invest for now, although currently market conditions are deteriorating but large alt coins will not possibly fall too deep in my opinion, in contrast to some alt coins or new tokens that do not have a strong drive to be able to survive in market conditions like this, we can see some large alt coins experiencing price stability while other alt coins are experiencing price declines and of course this is caused by the still large confidence of investors or traders with altcoin in the top 10 CMC list
Now, due to the fall of the market, I would not take much risk and would mainly choose top coins for investment, such as ETH, LTC, BNB and others.
Of course I would choose top altcoins to invest, because the chances of it going up are very high. I would recommend for investment
such as ETH, LTC, XRP, BNB and TRX. Moreover, the price of all altcoins are now in the best price position to be bought. I suggest buying
gradually the altcoins you choose. We will see approaching halving there will be a big surprise, the price of cryptocurrency will go up

Bitcoin is still the best investment, but if altcoin I choose IPX now because the products offered by Tachyon are very interesting. And also the price continues to rise, as evidenced when a dump occurs this token is quickly recovered in just a few hours. And another one is ETH I'm still waiting for ETH 2.0 released.
Now the whole market is growing, so besides Bitcoin you can now invest in almost any coin, only the most important thing is to have time to sell the coins to make a profit.

i think there is no difference . i mean best altcoins before are still best until now . its not the price that we shouldnt based but lets based on the characteristics of the coin now that all coins are dumping based on the current economy that we are facing right now .
i hope people wont get distracted because of this because i see many people are grabbing anything thinking that they are excited to see the price of those coins fall sharply .

It's not hard to decide at this stage as most of the altcoins are undervalued due to panic.
You can start buying on the major altcoins as they usually bounce back once this market starts to recover, ETH, BNB, and Litecoin, these are good altcoins to invest with IMO, but don't get too aggressive on few numbers of altcoins try to diversify with more to make sure you lower the risk.

I think bitcoin can still be held in an amount less than 1 bitcoin and there is no need to force it to invest as fully as bitcoin because it will be difficult for small investors.
But here I am of the opinion that I will hold ETH, BSV, LINK in altcoin and this is quite low the right time to hold in the next few months and I think if the bullrun comes again then this increase will be quite large so the profit will be maximal if you hold from the price low.

Agree about btc, people should never see it as that they cannot afford 1 BTC and therefore must invest in other altcoins. Then again when the price is this low, surely we can consider getting in even more as this means more btc than you thought possible. Imagine, a month or two ago you buy the same amount in usd and get double today.

Many altcoin have been in lower price and best moment to buy or invest right now, but you need waiting for awhile until price back to normal and going up to the higher price, when bitcoin and altcoin have top price you will get much profit.
after seeing the prices today, I could not say anything more. I don't know what altcoin is good to hold. in fact, I am hesitant to hold bitcoin at this time because the reduction in 2 days is almost $ 3,500. that's a truly extraordinary number. for now, I might keep holding ethereum, and assume that there will be a slight increase in the coin. 
As we have witnessed an unexpected dump when everything was going smooth most of the altcoin's value has dropped as well, but this can be utilised as one more opportunity for those who missed out to invest before the previous pump. We are all aware that the value of Bitcoin will certainly raise but at the same time not all of us can afford to invest into Bitcoin hence some of us choose altcoins to invest rather han Bitcoin but which altcoin do you think will be a the right choice ? Well for me Ethereum and BCH will rise up sooner or later. It will have a bull run after this drop. If I am going to invest, I am going to this two coins since they are the most trusted coin by so many investors that allows them to be placed on the top of the market. Sooner or later, it will rise up and make our investment profitable. 
Many altcoin have been in lower price and best moment to buy or invest right now, but you need waiting for awhile until price back to normal and going up to the higher price, when bitcoin and altcoin have top price you will get much profit.
ETH will be a great choice at this time, good hold other than BTC but if you want to make or get more profile why not take a risk on other small tokens/coins? Well, that is still up to you. However as we see this massive dump, is this really the end of it? or are we still going to expect lower than the basement dump? Who knows...

That is true, the prices are decreasing now. Bitcoin price has been decreasing more than $6000 and it is dreadful, I cannot imagine this situation will come when the halving event will be happen nearly. For OP I will give you a recommendation to choose bitcoin first before you choose an altcoin unless you have bought bitcoin and you hold it until now. Any coin you can say right now could be very well the best there is or the worst there is and we wouldn't really know the difference neither so it is basically not a great way to calculate what you can pick right now.

The only guarantee I can give is bitcoin and ethereum, those will not go up more than 3x for sure, and they will not go down more than 70% neither, they will be somewhere in between 100% guaranteed, not a small difference of course but better than others.
