I have started mining yesterday in slush's pool and now I cannot connect back to the pool because I am not on his whitelist. Therefore I need to PM him my IP address, and in order to do that I need to get whitelisted in this forum. Thanks.

Hi I would like to get white listed once someone gets through all 4 pages of this thread so far.  I made a previous constructive post in the mining section and would like to continue to add to the community and ask questions in other areas when I need help or advice.  Thanks in advance.

I request to be white listed. I would like to comment on payment message (http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=1545.msg18428;topicseen#msg18428). I am the founder of a mobile phone payment system, so I have some knowledge about this that may be of some value.

Satoshi says:
"It would be unwise to have permanently recorded plaintext messages for everyone to see.  It would be an accident waiting to happen. If there's going to be a message system, it should be a separate system parallel to the bitcoin network.  Messages should not be recorded in the block chain. The messages could be signed with the bitcoin address keypairs to prove who they're from."

I agree with that, but I think a payment message REFERENCE could possibly be included in the block chain. This is what I would like to discuss.

I started mining 2 days ago in slush' pool, but since it was DDOS'd, he only allows clients with a a known ip from a backup of a couple of days ago. I'd like to PM him my IP-adress so he can add it to the whitelist and I can start mining again. Thanks in advance.

Just learned about mining and started yesterday on slush's pool but due to his ddos attack I need to be able to PM him to get him to whitelist my IP. So I just joined the forums now.

hey,

my personal interest in the bitcoinnetwork is not too linear.

i do like economics in general and especially connected to bitcoins. joining some of the current discussions concerning the future of bitcoins and the way they will make would please me.

the more i love my hardware. supporting several boinc projects with my computing power here at home i joined some mining pool and i'm convinced that this all is good work!
I would never give up all my boinc projects, a small reward for my hardware would be fine ;-)

thanks for now,
ruudsy

I like to get whitelisted, because i am not much of a newbie anymore.
I am reading quite long in here without the need to reply until now. I mine since a few weeks, code some parts and i like to answer in slush poolthread.

Before i try to write 5 nonsense replys in a random thread i like to contribute in things where it makes sense Smiley

Thanks alot!

edit: Nevermind - lost couple of hours of mining, couldn't post, but it is solved anyway ..the problems and the newbie restrictions..

White listing requested here!

I remember the good ol' days before we needed white listing.  I mean, I've been around THAT long.  That alone should qualify me!

I mean, it's been, what....3 days?

Hello,

I am an experienced FOREX trader and would like to be able to post to the economics forum in regards to the best ways to perform trend and fundamental market analysis. Any serious Bitcoiner will eventually want to start to trade in the open market. I believe I can help with sound advice on how to use MACD, RSI, SMA's, Fibonacci retracement / extensions, etc.

Please advise if I may be white listed.

Thank You,
Andrew

Hey,

Would love to be whitelisted, need to ask some seriously noob questions regarding securing the wallet with true crypt aswell as backing up the wallet. I'd like to think that I know quite a lot about bitcoin but I seriously stuggle with any of the computer lingo.
We need a few more computer illiterate people like me using this forum so that processes taken for granted are broken down into steps that average joe can complete.

Cheers
