fpgaminer.

If you run an FPGA or ASIC miner, chances are you are using his design one way or another. I like to think hardware design is somehow more fundamental than writing software, even if it's not always true Wink

Casascius         - (Mike Caldwell) Physical Coins
piuk                   - Blockchain.info

also Trace Mayer (one of the guys that does a lot of media interviews) goes by 'sunnaker' on the forum, he's always up to no good  Wink

Gornick is amazing.  A top notch participant in the ecosystem.

Some guy called BTCurious or something like that always had good stuff, but I've not seen him in a while.

I often find something of interest in 'molecular's writings.  'greyhawk' and I seem to have a similar sense of humor and possibly a similar type of footprint in the ecosystem, so I find a lot of his stuff worth reading.

When Garzik finds the time to post something, I often find it well worth reading.  Same with Maxwell and Todd.  Gavin and Hearn are similarly well written and thoughtful, but I happen to disagree more with their direction for the project.

I'll maybe edit in other names here as I remember them for the fun of it.

He always goes into detail. I learn a lot from nearly every post he submits. One of the reasons I'm so active is because of these people who post interesting content.

I think another person who is incredibly smart is, Stephen Gornick.
I met Stephen last week at a Bitcoin meetup, and I agree that he seems brilliant (though I never run into him here).

Stephen Gornick always impresses me.  He seems to read an extraordinary amount of material and then recalls every detail when appropriate to the topic being discussed.

Tradefortress, seems to know what he/she is talking about in most situations. It's a great read when Tradefortress is involved in a thread.

Thank you Smiley

You lead and I'll watch you walk away.
Evoorhees is the brightest one that posts regularly. He will turn a little experiment into a lifetime worth of wealth with little effort. Regardless of the success or failure of Bitcoin, he will still be rich.

Mark Karpellis (MagicalTux) is the smartest one that no longer posts regularly. He turned a stupid trading card business into an empire. His only problem is that he is taking all the exposure. His success will eventually cost him.

The least intelligent player that I can see here is Roger Ver. He already had a thriving tech supply business in Silicon Valley (and others) and has most likely lost more money with Bitcoin than he stands to gain. Obviously a true believer.

The revolution will be monetized!
The smartest people here don't waste their time with sophomoric conspiracy theories or endless guessing of tomorrows price. They are generally busy making things happen, as opposed to watching things happen then struggling to understand.

This is your opportunity to mention some of the people who have impressed you with their knowledge or skills related to Bitcoin. Even the unpolished gems that don't even realize how good they are Smiley
I would have liked a "+1 to post" feature in this forum: combined with the ability to sort users based on the number of +1 I gave them, that could have automatically created such a list.
