Yahoo was destroyed by Google. Myspace was destroyed by Facebook. While I don't know what a currency that could destroy Bitcoin would look like, there is a possibility that something new could be so innovative that it all but destroys Bitcoin. Even then while Bitcoin could be dethroned, I don't think Bitcoin would be destroyed. Bitcoin has inertia. It is going to keep going. Even if something else gets ten times bigger than Bitcoin, I think Bitcoin will continue to grow.
Bitcoin is growing very powerfully but in this present scenario which factors can destroy or make its market value Zero.
There is no single institution that can destroy bitcoin. Nor can any country do that. The only moment bitcoin will be destroyed is when the people who support bitcoin will suddenly withdraw their support. That's the time the bitcoin market will crash to the ground. No one will anymore buy a single BTC. But that is far from happening.
Bitcoin is getting popular every day and the investments are increasing like crazy. There will be very less chance that bitcoin is going down in next decade or so. What could kill it is its fate of investment. If big investors sees an opportunity anywhere else then they might just take out the lord investment from bitcoin and put it to other way. That will just leave the bitcoin a deserted island in the future if other middle investors follows too. Just imagine whole new way coming out of the thin air, better, brighter than out bitcoin, then what would you do? Obviously you will leave the bitcoin investment in next minute like the way you do for any other coins currently. It's all about investment, if the market cap falls then so as to our bitcoin value.
that can make bitcoin worthless is when many people or countries that do not use bitcoin and bitcoin start in disitulah where bitcoin will lose its sale value

bitcoin is a decentralized system, it is as powerful as its users. if the users understand the meaning of decentralization and try to keep it that way and educate themselves, nothing can harm bitcoin at all. but in case people stop understanding, trying, educating themselves,... they will kill bitcoin on their own and the enemies don't have to do anything!

i dont think its a who but more like a combination of things. regulation in all the developed countries that mine bitcoin hard. the exchanges being scrutinized to the ground. loss of interest but that isnt really feasible at this point of the game. basically the internet would have to shut down for bitcoin to shutdown.
the one who owns the majority of the blockchain network has the power to destroy bitcoin, forking is a major death threat of bitcoin if the forked bitcoin has a better market adaptability than the bitcoin legacy then it is a big threat that bitcoin can turn into dust. chinese mining pools and other large blockchain node can easily swtich to the new blockchain from the bitcoin fork and it is easy for them for bitcoin be left behind, gone, faded and burn-out.

Bitcoins can't be destroyed by any individual but the people who uses bitcoins as Bitcoins price majorly depends on the demand of the people and if people leave bitcoins for other crypto currency then btc will be gone.Also that if everyone start holding their bitcoins and not circulate it in market then that would destroy bitcoins as if there are no transactions then miners can't earn ergo they will transfer to other crypto currency.Miners are very important as they confirm the transactions.
The owners of most numbers of bitcoin can destroy it if they will became stagnant for a long period of time, We all know for a fact that there are limited number of bitcoin circulating in the market and this was owned by several people the moment that large amount will become idle for a long period while the demand in bitcoin continue to increase the supply cannot sustain the needs which can resulted to negative feedback of users of bitcoin and may divert to other cryptocurrencies

The first thing that will kill bitcoin is rules and regulation implied by our government. Im not just one or two countries like china, but major countries around the globe. If that happens then virtual currency investment will will collapse on its own base principle of "decentralised" regulations because by that time there won't be any thing like that.
Until now no one can beat bitcoin, but if we talk in general only ETH has the potential to beat bitcoin, but I think for now ETH can not beat it.

I agree with you eth have a potential to grow in the future becuase bitcoin as far as now or maybe anothe year bitcoin id in a big of a poke or in danger and if the bitcoin will illegalize by other goverment. But soon the possibility of ETH will be ranked 1
if there are no internet maybe because if internet shutdown nothing that we can do with bitcoin, no miner, no transaction, if country ban bitcoin maybe that wouldn't destroy bitcoin
It's value can't be zero unless all the government deny it's usage and make law against the Bitcoin holders. But that's a rare case.

may be that could make market value destroyed or reduced yes due to ban bitcoin in every country.
with the ban would certainly reduce any previously large bitcoin transactions.
and if you want to increase bitcoin transactions by way of bitcoin legalized in each country.
