So we all remember the time when dogecoin first came out, it was such a hyped-up altcoin, and everybody was excited about it. People start investing into the coin, and then it ends up sky rocketing! Who here was one of the people who invested into dogecoin while it was around the 60 cent mark, and wanted it to go up even higher, but then ended up losing a ton of money? Well I’m one of those people, and currently, dogecoin seems to be doomed, and I haven’t seen it get past the 10 cent mark in so long, and doubt that it will anytime soon. Coin doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, so for that could we get an RIP dogecoin in the chat? 😢🙏

Trust me I'm not a huge doge proponent but it's in too many hands at this point to just die unless something major happened.  Doge percentage wise is down just like most all other altcoins.  It will see a pump when bitcoin starts mooning again just like every other cycle.  Because of the endless 10k minted coins each minute it will eventually stop going up because supply will outweigh demand.

That is while we need to think very deep before investing in any coin or newly projects, its not encouraging that you invest because people are investing and you doesn't care to know the rudiments of the projects before investing, their is some certain things that is involve in cryptocurrency investment and if you don't understand it you will not be able to scale through for your investment, what mattered most in any cryptocurrency investment is research, because people did not research properly about dogecoin and they invest due to the name came out with very big hype, so that is what triggers so many people today to invest in dogecoin now dogecoin is like abandoned projects it's not accelerating the way it was. So this will give investors a clear sight to know we need to conduct a research first before investment plan will come to conclusion.

the impression to new investors in crypto was that its Elon who introduced doge to them. which they only remember the price of doge is more than $0.10 already. it's not surprising though since Elon is the one who made doge more popular with newcomers in investors. just like they said the memecoins are the crypto gateway.

and most of those newcomers bought doge at a price of more than its current. so yep they may have lost funds.  this coming bull market, i think the lesson is already engraved in the experience.

Nope, Dogecoin isn't dead right now. It's just gathering steam and will rally expectedly too during this incoming bull rally. For me, it's still doing well. Remember that it got to $0.1 last week. It's a matter of time before it begins to push further up again to embrace and surpass its current ATH at $0.7+. If I were you OP, I wouldn't give up on Doge. At least, not until this present rally is concluded.

I don't know your investment plan at that time cause everyone literally have their plan, it seems you followed the trend and I guess your intention was for the long term, you actually made a mistake cause when looking for coin to invest in long term you should consider potential coins to avoid loss in your investment, people who actually invested for quick profit (short term) at that time when dogecoin was having value they made some profit. Investors like you who made mistake choosing dogecoin should not judge yet cause it's still counted as a good memecoin just hope for bull market and see what happens next, a lot of people also lost in their investment some might not be dogecoin but a lot of investors who followed trend could not make any profit and they're also regretting.

OP I haven't invested in Dogecoin yet and haven't lost any money investing in Dogecoin. I started my investment journey with Bitcoin. I only invested in ENJ coin altcoin for a short time but since there was a loss I later sold at a loss and bought bitcoin. Dogecoin was originally a shitcoin but the market grew a lot thanks to Elon musk efforts. Whether Dogecoin will regain its peak value is yet to be said for sure. However, my long-term belief is that Dogecoin can recover its value if the Bitcoin market is pumped to its maximum. But must be patient until recovery. Since you invested Dogecoin, you have no choice but to be patient.
That's nice and don't ever attempt to. But with this thread here, you're going to distance your self evenly on such meme coin. You have a good start. If only you stick with it, you won't ever experience a loss. ENJ is a good altcoin before but maybe not anymore now, so your decision of selling it a loss, may be a alright.

Dogecoin was originally a meme coin but later on it became a shitcoin because it is being manipulated easily by the influencial people and one of it is Elon Musk. With that said, you shouldn't thank him. I'm sorry but I'm against your belief. Dogecoin investors has actually another choice, and that is they can sell at a loss. They shouldn't wait longer as the loss can only add up.
If Dogecoin investors have invested from the peak price, selling them now at a loss will result in huge losses. Because we have seen Dogecoin hit as high as 0.78$ from here if investors invest then sell at the current position then their invested funds are totally destroyed. But even then there is nothing to do because you have to trade with profit and loss. I don't think Dogecoin will recover its price. If recovery is not possible then there is no point in sitting unnecessarily with this Dogecoin. It's best to sell what can be sold and focus on other coins if necessary to recoup losses by investing slowly.

I sold ENJ at a loss and focused on ORDI coins from where I have been taking constant profits. So the decision to sell my ENJ at a loss was a very good decision.

considering Dogecoin RIP is an unhealthy thought, you need to see how the price will move later. remember that dogecoin fans are elon musk and this will have a big influence later. but it seems you are too greedy if you don't sell when the profit is in sight. I've even taken profits when doge reached ATH throughout history and I bought at a very cheap price, maybe holding for about 5 months more before finally reaching ATH

Well in the first place it was kind of dumb to believe that after all that hype you'd still believe that Elon will somehow push the coin to another moon. That's just wishful thinking. If it were before the hype then sure, good for you. If it were during? Recipe for disaster. Hoping for it to go back to those days? More recipes for disaster. I would've honestly probably bought some if I knew it before the Elon hype though tbf. I mean its a Shiba Inu coin, which is pretty cute if you ask me.

This is why joining the hype before was not a good idea, and I think even now was not a good shot.
Probably a lot of people become victim of the hype and bought in reaching almost $1 before. Some of people farm it through faucets so the hype is really inevitable but too sad that many got sting with it. I myself traded it during the hype but able to profit some but not to the extent that I almost all in since its overbought already. Still expensive for now actually considering the price of this during early times.

Anyway, I've never bought a lot of Dogecoin that I could say is a decent investment, just enough to ride the hype as I am also a victim of buying cheap coins before. That's all where the hype started when cheap coins were being bought and they made trends about it. I can say that Doge was a lost investment but somehow I still made use of those coins in my gambling activities, unlike my other altcoins that have no usage anymore.
I believe that's the good part about buying old coins with a reputation. Even if you keep them for so long you can still use them on different platforms, like I said the gambling sites are also accepting them and the transaction fees are cheap so there's no worry about deposits and withdrawals. I am not expecting anything in Dogecoin anymore, there's a broad competition in the crypto industry today so it would be difficult for it to be pumped again.

You never buy a memecoin at the top. Apparently you'll never do that again from now on, right?

Let's assume you think DOGE is a good investment (which I don't think it is) the best alternative is to do DCA to lower its average price.

And finally wait for elon musk's tweets

Elon musk was the the reason behind the massive push. I think he is the only one who has the influence to make it push so high like before. It will be very difficult for Doge coin to hit 60cents which you think. Is either more investors troop in or or an influencer like Elon musk influences it to hit it ATH again.

Wee see the effect of Elon supporting this coin since it really create a massive hype since people can't imagine that the top one richest man on earth will show a support to a coin and many think that it can create some huge adoption just like what happen to bitcoin that's why it creates a huge spike of price and it reach to his past ATH which old Doge holder became so rich quickly. But unfortunately there are some Doge coin millionaire turn  to be a broke Doge holder because they decide to be a greedy man and lost a lot of money due to a huge drop of price on this coin.

Since we can't see Elon Musk hyping this coin again then I also guess that for now we can't see a big changes for the price of Doge since it need a same like Elon Musk presence to hype this coin again.

It is important to know that investing in cryptocurrencies is risky. You should do a lot of research and think about many things before making investment choices. Even though things might look bad now, the cryptocurrency market can change quickly.
And the hype created Elon and he is still holding the Dogecoin and who knows that he will hype it again. So we can't say anything because this is the Crypto Market which has many stories in it. So always be careful. And if you have bought and you own it so I will recommend that you should hold it tight so one day it will give go to the ATH. It is looking risky but if you have so you should hold.

Certainly, your point is valid and very crucial about volatility and un-predictability of crypto currencies market, and it is essential conduct due diligence and through research to understand the fundamental of currency in question, before making investment decision. Your mention of Elon Musk influence is a relevant  example of how external factors can cause fluctuations in a specific currency like Doge coin. I think accumulating Doge coin by implementing DCA strategy is a prudent approach, and wait for the next bullish market when it might reach new ATH.

Well, I can't say that I've lost money because I haven't sold my DOGE yet. But I'm down and I'm not sure that it will recover. Thankfully I spent just around $100 on it and it's not really critical for me.

Dogecoin is a fairly popular Altcoin that has survived to this day, even though the price increase was influenced by influencers, previously this type of Altcoin was one of the favorite coins for gamblers and traders. I think those who have lost a lot of money investing in Dogecoin only get involved when the price soars, but there is a possibility that in the future Dogecoin could experience an increase along with the increase in the price of Bitcoin

Yeah, that’d be the best to happen. I never here many people talking about dogecoin anymore, but if any billionaire such as Elon Musk or another celeberity/billionaire thats into cryptocurrency advertised the coin, the coin would sky rocket once more. That’s what we really need, billionaires truly have a huge impact on coins going up, just depending on how they advertise it. They can easily make us rich, just don’t know why they don’t.

I am also holding few thousand DOGE coins for long term, hoping it might potentially retest its previous all time high (ATH), at $0.70. While I understand that chances of this occurrence are quite low. My experience in crypto world has taught me that nothing is impossible, Elon Musk or any other celebrity may decide to use it as utility token for method of payment on twitter or one of his various enterprises.
should also remember that elon musk influence is deteriorating nowadays when it comes to shilling for certain coin, but if its about integrating doge coin with his platform then i guess it make sense if it could retouch the all time high again but then again when it comes to meme coin that already has high market capitalization never have too high of an expectation because the money is flowing in the other meme coin right now at best we should be waiting for the next bullrun in the next year where there is halving occurring that could causes the market to be increasing signficantly I guess at that time elon will also comet to play shilling for doge coin for unknown reason then maybe we might be hitting all time high again.
right now if i were meme coin investor i would just instead focused on a more newer meme coin as a side hustle just disregarding big market capitalization meme coin for a while because we all know right now they are kinda stagnant maybe because the market capitalization become too big for people to pump it and quite frankly maybe everyone has already owned some meme coin in their wallet.

I didn't lose but RIP is pretty much odd stance on it. It has always peaked when altcoin season starts and dropped, with more volatility then most coins out there. And now when price is stabilized again it's rip? That doesn't make any sense when you look at the history. And you really have to zoom in as new peak always makes the old ones look like nothing. But they were insane when you look at percentually growth. Dogecoin wouldn't die even if everyone wanted so. And most people has wanted it since the start. As it was the original nonsese shitcoin. It just gained credibility as it wasn't never to be taken seriously. Not even the developer of it saw this weird cult of dogecoin coming. So i have accepted that it might never die. It might be less popular, and have lower price but it never goes away.

My friends made some beer money with it by mining it. But they solde arly, obviously. As most people would have.

I did, back in 2014 I bought it 220 sat/1 doge because there was a news dogecoin sponsored one of Nascar team.
In the end, the team finish 20th out of 43.
The doge price was not rising at all before and after the race, 2 or 3 weeks later it crash to 60 sat and it forced me to dump the coin.

I never buy doge again since that time but I think the doge will be still alive for a few years ahead.
The coin will not just die like that, just wait for Elon to make a joke with doge again then the price will start rising, rinse and repeat.
