It wasn't fixed. He wasn't the best fighter and people knew that going in, though most people prefer Manny over Floyd and were backing the underdog. I don't think Manny has been honorable after the fight either. Kinda sounded like a sore loser to me.

Yup. I love Manny and I hate to say it, but I did lose some respect for him after all these shoulder antics

Apparently the fight generated half a billion in revenue. They should just fight again. It would be silly not to.

Isn't mayweather suppose to be fighting amar khan now? another big fight which they are going to be earning millions of pounds. I think I wouldn't mind getting beat to shit by some gloves if I was  earning that kind of money. The boxing match was fixed though Pac probably was the best fighter at least the most honourable one

If I was old, and was going to get paid 9 figures just to fight, I would hop around and hide in corners for 12 rounds too. Huh

BOTH WON

I just want someone... anyone.... to just get a hold of bouncing ferret we call Mayweather.  Love to see his ass thrown into the octagon!

MMA and Boxing are two completely different things. Pretty much any boxer would get his ass destroyed in the octagon, but at the same time, most MMA fighters would also lose in the ring

Mayweather is the one who won the match. it not cool from Pacman to play a match not 100% because even though he got the money he did disappoint allot of viewers who paid to see the match *cough* and mayweather getting knocked *cough*.

There wont be a rematch. Mayweather wont want to risk fighting again as he has more to lose with his unbeaten record.

Him giving away the title without a fight will most likely confirm this as he won't be forced into an obligatory matches against the best competitors.

There wont be a rematch. Mayweather wont want to risk fighting again as he has more to lose with his unbeaten record. He just did this for the massive amount of money and they wont get as much for another fight. I would like to see them have another go but I can't see it. Mayweather's next fight is going to be a disappointment though whoever he fights (unless he gets beaten).

More to lose? A fight against Manny is as sure a victory for Floyd as possible. I can see Floyd retiring after 49 games and then coming back for a rematch for his 50.

How is it? This fight was very close even on points. Manny is more hungry for a win and Floyd desperately wants to keep his unbeaten run so it's far easier for him to fight a sub-par boxer than the second best to him. If Manny had of gone in hard with a flurry of punches at his normal speed Floyd might have had more difficulty in avoiding him which he did by dancing and running all over the ring. Manny should have made him fight at his own pace and not the other way round.

surely no one will be interested in mayweather's next match if its not against pacquiao, many people is disappointed on what he shows

I agree. It's going to be a let down because he's going to win so he might as well just try milk this last fight of all the money its worth by fighting Manny again. The hype would be the same because people would be hungry for blood again.

Everybody should have expected the "fight of the century" to be a shitty fight. It was all set up for the money, and they both made loads and loads of it. Although I do have a deep hatred for Floyd and his boxing style, I can't argue that Manny lost. He got outboxed. He threw and connected less punches! Manny, regarded as one of the fastest boxers, threw and landed less punches than Floyd, who only punches when he needs to. If you thought this was going to be a slugfest, you've obviously never watched Floyd box before. And though I don't like it, I can't deny that he's a smart boxer, and the clear winner of the fight.
Do I want a rematch? Kinda. I'm not really sure anymore
Will it happen? No chance.

Even in the face of evidence, you two refuse to accept the result and still think this is some giant conspiracy.  Roll Eyes
Mayweather was the smarter fighter, and it showed the longer the fight progressed as Manny became visibly tired and slower.
But maybe you two are right. The fighter who threw and connected the lower number of punches should win. Forget about the rules, just award fights to boxers who appear more aggressive in the opening rounds. After all, Ebola is fake, Obama is Kenyan and flight MH370 was shot down by aliens. Tongue

You can't argue with stats, but watching the fight from an impartial view Mayweather was the clear winner as boring as the fight was. I guess conspiracies are always more exciting, especially when the facts/truth are boring and not the outcome they want.

Mayweather was the clear winner. He played a strategic game, as he has always done for most of his career.
Mayweather landed more punches, an indisputable fact. He connected 148 of 435 punches (34.0%), compared to 81 of 429 for Manny (18.9%).
He jabbed, retreated and when Manny got within punching distance, Mayweather just locked him.
This is boxing after all, not a street brawl.

This is the judges' scorecard, which many other neutral observers agreed with (including The Guardian, which scored the fight 116-112 well before the judges' score was announced).

in the scorecard, the winner is the boxer in the red corner, do you remember who is in the red corner? it is Pacquiao. Who chose the refferee? who chose the judges? Do you honestly think mayweather win the match? he can even fight he is always running. Define boxing, im sure it is not running

I heared hes signed up for a lot of marathons recently  Cheesy Good hes a disgraace to boxing

Gayweather is claiming he is the greatest in boxing, even greater than ali, but all he do is run run run.
