I am also a Myetherwallet user so far there is no problem as long as we keep the private key safely and not trapped on the phishing web, which is intentionally scattered by irresponsible people.
I am using My Ether Wallet from last 1 year and I like to hold my coins from the ICO in MEW and keep them there. It's a safe way to keep your coins you just need to keep your private keys safe and all is good.
I usually buy ICO tokens. So I use MyEtherwallet as my routine. Almost all the tokens of ICO programs are based on the MyEtherwallet wallet platform.

Well myetherwallet serve to be my storage of my bounties or the tokens that ive got. And i think my etherwallet is one of the best wallet because its been used by many users , years by years , and its truseted a hundred percent.
Ever since I am involve in crypto I never used any other etherium wallet other than MEW as it is very convenient and its easier to store ERC20 tokens and its much easier to withdraw to fiat.
Most times it is even preferable you make use of wallets that would give you access to your private keys instead rather than having to enter your private key on the MEW wallet every now and then so as to prevent the mistake of having to enter on any phishing website. MyEtherWallet will always be safe as long as the person who owns the wallet is very careful.
We already know that many crypto enthusiast used MyEtherWallet and not just them but also companies or groups, crypto enthusiast such as like me used MyEtherWallet to store all my tokens and cryptocurrencies that I've earned from all of those bounty campaigns and as well to those many Airdrops that I have participated which gives me FREE tokens in which many of them still don't have any market value at all which I still kept inside MyEtherWallet.

It is too convenient for new people to use, do not need to download and install anything, directly online extraction. Just save your private key and backup files.

I do use MEW (MyEtherWallet). But I do not visit it via back-links like you have posted. Ind I recommend to use Metamask addon to unlock your MEW for extra safety. Usage of private key is very risky if you visited to a phishing site.

If you use it carefully, then you do not have to worry about your own money, the main thing is not to store keys and passwords on your computer so that no one can steal your data. For long-term storage and daily use an excellent wallet.
