Who uses this wallet? - https://www.myetherwallet.com/
What say about him?

Im currently using MEW as my main wallet for campaign rewards and so far so good. Just be careful. Because I think most people say that MEW is prone on hacking. But in my opinion, there could be a human error. Maybe they put PRIVATE KEY instead of ADDRESS KEY in the form thats the common error for someone. Its safe, you just have to be careful on filling-up forms. Plus dont be hook on some phishing sites. How about you? What wallet do you use?

I think every Ethereum user uses Myetherwallet. Minimalist and easy to use wallet, suitable for beginners.

I am not a security expert so I don't know if there are flaws dealing with data using their service but I really really like that they are not storing your wallet files.  You can keep that on a thumb drive and use MEW to access your wallet sort of like an interface.

This atleast prevents hackers from hacking into and stealing large amounts of wallet keys.

I am curious though, and this is somewhat answered in this thread, but what other security issues are there with this approach?

Actually it looks and works pretty good. I'm using myetherwallet for a long period and can say for sure it is safe, you just need to keep backups od your wallet somewhere else.

Most users who have bought into ERC20 based tokens and cannot afford a hardware wallet are using myetherwallet. However I do not trust it and so I have purchased a hardware wallet, even thought I have very less money invested in crypto, but its better to be safe than sorry.

I am new. I purchase BTC on Coinbase. Then transferred to Bittrex. Then converted some to ETH and transferred to Myetherwallet in order to participate in ICO. The Bittrex transfer has been confirmed but thee ETH has not his Myetherwallet. How long until I should worry?

myetherwallet has proven steady and secure, but it's still online.

I only use it when I wish to buy into new ICO since its the most practical for me.

I use hardware wallet for the rest of the ETH!

my favourite wallet. easy to handle, and a ERC20 wallet which helps to catch easily when in AirDrops and Bounties.
As for me MEW is a good trustworthy wallet.

I use MyEtherWaller to store the ETH I have and I think if we talk about the security owned by this site of course it all depends on us who have private key from MyEtherWalllet. so I mean the factor that can cause MEW that we have hit by hack by others is our own carelessness that can not keep our private key in secret. so if you have a MyEtherWallet site to store your ETH you keep the private key secretly enough just you know because it is a very valuable asset and this should be your privacy and if you want others to know about your private key have enough people you can trust.

In my opinion, it's quite hard to use. I was trying to add custom tokens and it has taken for me some time to get it done.
My father is an active internet user (56 yo) - he wouldn't manage to do the same I guess.

I have a father of the same age, but he taught me how to use this purse. I think it's nothing complicated and, if you want, everyone can learn how to work with it. But I'm worried because my wallet can be hacked.

If you want to protect your money, it is recommended to have multiple wallets MEV. And to allocate them funds. And passwords keep in safe place, on paper or a flash drive. And come only with your links to the wallets.

I use. So far I have not found anything better. Although, I'm not sure of its maximum security against hacker attacks. Perhaps because so far there are very few assets.

I like this wallet. It's lightweight and is made entirely with javascript. It's impossible to crack, only if you do not make a mistake.

Yes, it light weight and it not all about making mistake but ones must not download or install any app or provide link you're not so sure of because a lot of people have loose their through such means.

It's a really good web wallet, can store a lot of tokens, can add custom token and easy to use, the only downside is that you can't set how many gwei you want to use as fee and there's a lot of phising site. If they add the option to set the fee then it will be perfect.

I use myetherwallet it seems to me that it is very convenient and easy to use. And there you can store all the tokens on the basis of ethereum.
The only fear is running into a phishing site. Because passwords can steal all the tokens will lead the thieves. You need to be careful. ether often try to hack you need to be accuratime.

If you use a MEW bookmark and only follow that link to get to MEW, it will greatly reduce your chances of getting phished.

My Ether wallet is one of the best wallets these days.
it's safe and secure and I use it.
Very easy to use, no problems nothing.
You can add&remove ETH assets, and we can sign message there, it can open any format ETH wallet, very useful and powerful wallet. But I would really suggesting to use a ledger for accessing the wallet like Trezor. Its safe as long as you dont use phising link to login with private key.
