Just buy every month a little amount without looking at the price, hold them and never sell for 5 years, then enjoy your richness.

Leave no FUD unchallenged
It's all guesswork really, so there's not much point in having regrets for not doing something when it could all turn on its head tomorrow and you could find yourself better off for having not done it.  I recently decided to diversify my investments and buy shares in a company instead of putting more into crypto, but so far Bitcoin is outperforming the shares.  I could regret that choice now, but then it could all change and the shares could skyrocket and Bitcoin could tank.  No one knows what's going to happen, there are bound to be winners and losers either way and hindsight is always 20/20.

I actually wish I bought Bitcoin when it was at $1, or less. Wink

Meanwhile, those of us that bought at under $1 are wishing we hadn't sold at $5, $10, $35, $65...

Actually, it is not too late to buy Bitcoin now
It's not really staying even at $650, the price has only been here for a few days, compared to the $440s for almost a month.

There was an even better chance. Two months ago, some 5K Bitcoins were suddenly dumped in to the BTC-E exchange. The price dropped from $380 to $164, although for only a few seconds. It climbed back to ~$350 in 5 minutes. Those who had placed buy orders at $180 and $200 hit the jackpot.  Grin

I wasn't that lucky though.  Angry

Nope..
I bought in the 400's and 500's.  Bought again few days ago.   Think we'll see another hover a 440-500 after a bit.

When bitcoin reaches $5,000+ is it really going to matter if you bought in at $540 or $640?

No it won't really matter too much at that point. I personally believe that it is ALWAYS a good time to buy bitcoin no matter what the price is. Bitcoin is the best long term investment you could ever make. Come back to this post in 5 years and thank me Smiley

How many of these threads has this forum seen over the course of the last 2-3 years? Always the same theme, "oh, it was such a great deal at ______$, now it's too expensive"

People just don't get it. It's not going to stop.
+1
your always going to see people saying they missed the boat, but never actually get on
$6-$20 - they missed the $6 boat now its too expensive
$20-$70 - they missed the boat  now its too expensive
$60-$270 - they missed the boat now its too expensive
$200-$1000 - they missed the boat now its too expensive
$450-$650 - they missed the boat now its too expensive
$600 - ?? ?? - they're too afraid to get onboard now its too expensive

hehehe

That actually happened to me by accident. I had a limit order on Bitstamp at 520 or so, and completely forgot about it. One day I log into Stamp, and I see +10 BTC. One of the best days ever.

If you're here for the long haul then there really isn't anything wrong with buying now and waiting for the price to eventually rise (as Bitcoin gains traction and the necessary supporting infrastructure is created and refined). Of course, if you're expecting another bubble and it to burst you could try getting in at the bottom of the bubble, but for all you know that bottom could still be higher than where we are now (same with the $150 to $1000 bubble - we never saw it reach $150 again).

If you look at the charts the bottom trend line is more exciting than the peaks. We have found a higher floor in each bear market. Usually a 10% or better increase.

I am kicking myself for not paying attention to BTC sooner. Been playing catch up since March.

Core dev leaves me neg feedback #abuse #political
The recent price just has me kicking myself for not buying in. Add in the fact you can now trade bitcoins on your iPhone and it's just hurts.

Also, who think it's weird that bitcoins top out at $600-650 or thereabouts. I think a lot of people got burned buying at $600-1000 during that big boom, and are cashing out as soon as they break even.

Thoughts?

I got burned a bit. Bought too much during that bubble, but I bought more at lower prices and I'm certainly not cashing out at break even.  I even don't regret buying during that spike because there was no way for me to know it would crash and I didn't want to miss getting in.

Anyway who cares about $540 vs $650, that's only a 20% difference.  Just get in if you're not in.
