Facebook already has a huge number of user base. And if Facebook launch something those userbase  will start to try that thing. We who are already know the crypto space or here for a long time maybe not gonna like libra. But other than that I thing those who don't know what crypto currency is ,they will try it out. And they also have some good partnership giant like uber paypal. Many people gonna enter this crypto space through libra in my opinion.

Agree, if regulations allow Libra Coin to launch, I think that many people around the world will buy Libra Coin. If Libra Coin is combined with Facebook platform, people will prefer to use Libra Coin because it is easier and faster. This will attract many Facebook members to trade and get to know cryptocurrency

Honestly, who would buy this? Serious question! I've been reading about it and I don't see how Facebook can create a coin that upholds the values crypto portrays (censorship free currency).

https://tipestry.com/topics/5ce41169570b6c1f0750a040/facebook-to-release-its-own-cryptocurrency-on-whatsapp-%E2%80%93-libracoin-%E2%80%93-with-its-base-in-switzerland-and-first-launch-in-india

You will see perfect answer of your question after 2019. Because 2020 is the year for Libra coin launch. Libra is only for easy money transaction without bank account. Another way you can see Libra will control even by government so decentralized users don't like to use libra coin.

I think you are undervaluing the purpose of Libra coin. It would give a huge boost to the whole industry by creating another big hype wave, maybe the old users would not buy Libra, but for newcomers it would be their first crypto currency.
Yeah.

That's what is going to happen. We that's aware of what kind of coin Libra does won't buy the coin. But to those that are starting out with their crypto exploration, they wouldn't care if its a stable coin or doesn't have a stable value.

People will buy it because they knew it because facebook made it. That will be the most popular reason on why people are going to buy Libra.

The only similarity between Facebook's Libra and cryptocurrency is that they are bith digital coins. That is as far as the similarities go. In thr strict sense of the word 'cryptocurrency' Facebook's coin is not a cryptocurrency. I would not invest in it because I know if it becomes a success, real cryptocurrencies like BTC and Eth will outperform it in terms if profits or ROI.
I don't think so, facebook coin is still defined as a cryptocurrency but it is a stable cryptocurrency similar to usdt, and the most special thing is that this cryptocurrency is accepted by the government and is public in life, instead of being anonymous like many other cryptocurrencies. And if it was popular in such a life, investors and visionary traders would invest it because a new and fairly primitive form of monetization, the chance of collapse is very low but for those of crypto, perhaps investing in facebook coin will not bring much interest when the opportunity of profit is not too high

This is a misunderstanding from most people especially those who has no knowledge at all about cryptocurrency, what they just know is Bitcoin became at  price of $20k, so they think that Facebook coin will be like Bitcoin someday, the more users, the higher the price it will be, and there's a lot of people excited to invest actually, they don't realize and analyze that facebook coin and Bitcoin is really different in all aspect, the only similarity is that they are both digital currency.
You can't actually compare bitcoin to facebook coin because they are really different in all aspects. But if you would gonna ask me if i will buy facebook coin? it think no, even facebook is one of the biggest social networking websites, i still have doubts about facebook coin because it may not be worth it to invest for like bitcoin and top altcoins such as ETH, XRP, LTC, BNB, BCH, and etc.

Imagine how it would be easy to use Libra coin in everyday life. People are using messenger or FB app everyday, now there will be an opportunity to send money as easy as sending message, without knowing private key and another annoying things connected to the cryptocurrencies.
We are all talking about crypto and adoption, but we still don´t have an easy solution for the masses.

in my opinion who will buy facebook coins is a big company that supports this libra project and also facebook users. and crypto investors may wait some time to see the development of Libra coins. if this libra coin grows well and is reliable then some crypto investors will buy this coin. itself is less interested in this libra coin because libra is a stable coin that does not have volatility. maybe this libra coin is suitable for payment rather than investment. everything is still unclear we'll see after libra was released.

yes, you're right to say, most likely who will buy Facebook coins first is the Facebook development team itself and then will be followed by investors or Facebook users as well. for investors and Facebook users maybe they will wait until Facebook coins really develop and are reliable. maybe I myself would do that if I wanted to buy Facebook coins. if what you say is true, that Facebook coins are stable and have no volatility. maybe I will buy it in a limited amount, and I will only use it for long-term investment and just in case if the price of this coin increases over time.

One of the target market of facebook for their own cryptocurrency called Libra is their users in their social media platform. They will launch a lot of ads and different ways to attract the facebook users to buy and use Libra coin. I am a facebook user but I don't that I will be buying their coin because bitcoin and other cryptocurrency seems to be better than Libra.
I also will not buy facebook coin, because from what I hear facebook is included in the type of stable coin? to get a profit must be a little difficult. And the news lately facebook coin a.k.a Libra left by its big investors.

Regarding the decentralization of crypto or the values of crypto portrays, this will certainly be a bit distorted because Facebook wants to take part in the utilization of peer-to-peer transaction blockchain technology. Libra coin holders will definitely benefit from using features Facebook has, such as Facebook ads. definitely the one who buys is Facebook user itself, at least the community that will be formed is certain. In the future, what will happen to the market, we have to wait until the Libra launch and can be bought.

I think Facebook just took the opportunity in this crypto whether Coin Libra would be good and keep its users secret considering that Facebook was caught leaking the privacy of its users, and that made people not fully trust Libra Coins.
even though Facebook is currently facing a case regarding data leakage in my opinion, there is still a fair amount of people's confidence in the Libra project. In the consortium that many big companies follow, in my opinion, one of the proofs is that Libra is a serious project. Even though I read the news of a number of large companies withdrawing from the consortium, I am still optimistic.

There are many people who would really buy Facebook coin which will surprise you. I would say there's a big influence of this coin on Facebook users. I believe Libra coin will rise soon when the market recovers.

If Facebook is not hindered by regulations, I think many people will buy Libra coins for various purposes. Nowadays online shopping has become a trend and Facebook is the biggest social media in the world. If Libra coin is launched, maybe people do not make Libra Coin as an investment but as a transaction tool because it is easier to transact through social media

In my opinion, their no.1 buyer for sure majority of them are Facebook users.
I cannot imagine there would be any other buyers except for serious crypto speculators, and even then they are probably facebook members anyway.

What I wonder is what facebook is going to be having members use Libra for.  I've been wondering whether it's going to be for facebook related purchases and if so, why is using a debit card a problem?  I've so far failed to see the importance and utility of a stable coin put out by them.  Nothing I've read in the media or on bitcointalk has delved into this.

It's probably moot anyway since Libra likely won't launch.  Those partners like paypal did not just drop out for the fun of it.  They realize Libra has probably been irreversibly stalled by U.S. regulators and they don't want to waste their time or money on helping facebook launch it.  It should be interesting indeed to see what actually happens.

for me, crypto is the best place to earn much money by speculating its price. because it has high volality and even it is the most

libra is one of stable coin which will launch in the next year, it is backed by a reserve made to keep its value stable, so it's not suitable for me

beside that, many company (The Libra Association) have left the association, it makes hard for libra because of its obstacles. Facebook’s Libra Association has now lost a quarter of its original members
