I will hold my 10 btc I have no other choice but btc deluded me... Everyone was saying it would rise and rise, but it was only a Ponzi bubble. That is all. A fucking Ponzi bubble. I knew that but I was convinced about those guys saying it was not a Ponzi and I could still buy.
IIRC you posted about investing your money that your grandmother gave you in bitcoin. This is not your life savings, as you spent none of your life saving this amount, nor is this money that you earned.

You are also confused regarding terminology. A ponzi is when early investors are paid with later investors money and when there are not enough new investors the ponzi collapses.

A bubble is when the price levels get unrealistically high due to unrealistic investment returns. It is not possible for something to be both a ponzi and a bubble, you will need to pick one
I am new to this and I have responsibilities and fears, but I am going all the way

Still life-savings divested from fiat, still coasting at a cool 350%+ ROI in less than 18 months.

Hows your dollar treating you?

You call it a Ponzi (a form of illegal scam) to make yourself feel better about what was merely a bad investment on your part.

I'm sorry you got burnt but you need to take responsibility for your own actions!
I suspect you mean to say that this person overbalanced his investment portfolio into a long position rather than divesting. Long positions in Bitcoin are unlikely to get burnt.

I agree. Bitcoin does not at all fit the description of a ponzi. This person's experience does not fit the experience of a ponzi. Also a ponzi and a bubble are two very different things and it is illogical to say something is both a ponzi and a bubble.

Has bitcoin gone through several bubbles? Yes, is it in a bubble now? probably not, but the short term price trend is negitive

It isn't looking pretty...Heck in 6 months it might be less than $300:/

Or 1000$`

If you are close to retirement don't put your million on it but if you are young why not make a bold bet

That is a good advice. BTC has long term value if it is used as a currency.

oh my god i'm bored of you whinging.

you're an idiot for buying in december. i cashed out all of mine in december because it was so obviously hyped.

things are not so simple. I did not explain many things. I could not cash out because my account in that very period was blocked. I had to see price dumping without doing anything. I could cash out only in January and I did it. Then I bought again when I thought price would rise again. I was wrong. Actually I lost about half of my entire money, I mean my life savings. I am not complaining. I know it was risky. I had the feeling I could make big money fast and cash out. I was inexperienced and made an error. I am young. I had none giving my advice.

So what do you think is a safe/good amount of your savings to invest in Bitcoin? 20, 30 over 50 percent?

I would've thought many who invest might allocate 1-5% of their funds for truly speculative/ volatile investments.

I've gone for rather more than that myself. I find it very hard to get excited about much else out there.

I was thinking of investing 20% of my current savings which isn't a awful lot but enough to benefit from it something does come on it and it is bearable if I do lose that money.

No risk no gain, the price is now at $430, what do you think?
