It isnt to make fun of bitcoin, people created alt coins thinking itd be fun.
Then that just picked up and got adopted like litecoin came 1st I think.

I only just started noticing and learning about BitCoin... now all of the sudden there are many other types of online currency out there, which ones are actually worth paying attention to and which ones are just a plain joke created to make fun of BitCoin?
