Going back to November and December of last year, we can see that both bitcoin and alts have dropped. It makes many investors lose money and raises many questions as to why this is so? then that answer is a market cycle, just simple like that. If you have read about the Dow theory, you can easily recognize the trend of the market. Because in May, 6, 7, 8, 9 there was a very strong growth of bitcoin and alts, it increased by about 400% - 450%. And then the momentum of the rally dropped as the crowd saw the price was too high and started selling off. so this is very normal, don't worry.

I think in previously, most of the projects were scams, and few projects were good that were productive, and investors make good profit from them. Still, nowadays, most of the altcoins are very low level, even major altcoins in the top 100 also not performing well just investors thinking about BTC and investing in most of the investors in BTC, not other altcoins that are the reason altcoins are not growing.

Surely this year will be a lot better than last year, last year the price of bitcoin was only $ 3500 and now the price of bitcoin is trading at $ 8700, most likely this year we will see bitcoin price soon surpassing ATH by Because of halving coming, everyone in this market is looking forward to this event

Cryptocurrency market status could be determine by a very broad factors. Cryptocurrencies have their own backgrounds that people should consider before investing onto it. I probably think that you are pertaining on 2017 market bull run, many altcoin investors mainly lost profit because they bought late, but to consider, most of the people bought there becomes the reason of the bear market we've exprerienced in 2018. But to answer the topic why altcoins aren't growing these days, is because seasonal changes aren't riped yet, I definitely believe that there should be a drive to signal this season and for me, that is the halving that will occur to bitcoin.

All started with the rampant scams that happened back is 2017-2018. Those where the years when ICO was booming and a lot of promises were given and failed. These days most of the crowdfunding are regulated and is very very secured with some guarantors like those IEOs. Though which brings me to the point why they aren't growing, the market has been stagnant that even bitcoin isn't moving at all almost. Plus there are no new or upcoming revolutionary atlcoins/crypto projects that will wow the people. The best thing i saw from all of the crowdfunding right now is with NEXT.Exchange as they propose a hybrid dex and cex. The IEO was also launched on thier platform and p2pb2b. The rest of them are all ... meh.

Not necessarily as a lack of interest on the parts of investors, the market is having a cycle as some predicted, whenever this cycle is completed, we might see Altcoins increase in price. Once there's a balance between Btc dominance and alts, then alt season will come.

Crypto market is at a very unpredictable stage and I believe the downtrend will continue in this market as people are still worried about investing.

It may take a few more years for everything to stabilize, but if you want to invest, this is a good time to consider some of the cheap coins available in this market. However, altcoins are still a risky investment and you can definitely lose your money at any time if the market turns red.

That is great but I do not think the altcoin surge is going to continue, it is better to take your profits now instead of waiting for even more profits in the future, especially since in the last days the price of bitcoin has begun to go down and most of the growth in those altcoins is being erased and in some cases those profits are becoming losses really quickly as it is the case with some of the coins that gave the best profits like Dash and BSV.

I am also very optimistic about the altcoin situation this year, but the altcoin market this year is not the same as the previous years, only the top altcoin in this market is pumped. I also invest in ETH and BNB, after some time since November, I have gained more than 35% of the profits when investing in it. some new things offered by altcoin lately, especially their staking program. a challenge for other altcoins if they don't follow market tastes and remain idealistic with their own concepts. Altcoin is not developing in such a way because investors are more careful than their previous experience and they no longer want to wait for promises and progress for a very long time, investors prefer quality-based references on coins that have been proven to have good volumes. If all altcoins adjust to trends then I think dominance will increase.

There are altcoins that are recovering but there are also altcoins that doesn't have enough power anymore to have a momentum. We should focus on altcoins that have high momentum because those are the ones that have highest market participants where many investors and traders are buying it. Volume is important in choosing potential altcoins, we should ignore the altcoins that have low volume because it is considered as shitcoins.

Altcoins need to show some improvement if they want to bring the attention of investors back them, we all know that more than anything investors want something and that is to earn money, and altcoins have been really bad at that during the last two years so we cannot really blame them if they are not interested in the market, so far we have seen a recovery in the market of altcoins but compared to their all time highs this is nothing and many investors are not going to invest in them even at the current prices.

Yes, in 2019 it can be said that the cryptoqurrency market is not well developed. altcoin lost a lot of value and also the price of bitcoin did not increase significantly. but we have now entered Q1 in 2020 and the crypto market is gradually growing well, including the price of bitcoin and some of the top altcoins on the market.
