To my own opinion altcoins are important because, without them Bitcoin would still be seen as a scam project that was build anonymously to bankrupt some of its users who did all their investment in it, op you made a good point on the fact that I'll give credit to altcoin because they might be good for trading or short term investment, but on the other hand some that seem promising might end up crashing to the ground thus taking all investment to the trench. While some altcoin seem promising the rest of them are just there to reduce their reputation, and this is one of the major reason they are hated by their victims and bitcoiners. I don't do altcoins but it fun knowing that some of them are legit, and can be trusted.

Sure, altcoins is quite risky, specifically for new altcoins. That's why many people prefer to invest in old altcoins only, mostly choose the top altcoins. Investing in old altcoins or top altcoins may have less chance for gaining profits 100x or even 1000x, they won't increase very extremely like new altcoins. But we can trust them because they already prove us that they can survive for years. For people who care about the safety in their investment, I assume they will prefer to invest in old/top altcoins than investing in new altcoins.

Not everyone does invest in altcoin because of the risk involved in it. People do lose interest in altcoin because of the high chance of losing money. I prefer investing in bitcoin. Bitcoin investment is safer than investing in altcoins. You can lose your money in altcoins at any moment. Lots of altcoins have disappointed people previously, and they are still going to disappoint people in the future. Nobody knows the next altcoin that is going to crash, so it’s better we are careful when investing in altcoin, but to me, bitcoin is just the safest.

Actually it is just a classic reason that always exists when saying that bitcoin cannot be reached because the price is too high even though in this case we when investing are not always required to buy 1 bitcoin or more at once because this is only based back on the ability we have to buy it's just that many people always say bitcoin is too high to buy just to justify the reason that they want altcoins as a form of investment made.

Even though it is not wrong because in the end the big profit is what is wanted and it is possible with altcoins they can get that but in this case we also need to know the risks because in the end we also cannot rule it out. The risk of altcoins will still be greater than bitcoin so that when we already know that, we will be wiser in determining where we will be.

Everyone's key isn't about supporting an altcoin but it's all about money, profit. And the end game with this type of strategy is to make your profits more valuable by reinvesting them into Bitcoin. That's what I have done for several times and I have never regret. For some reason, the things that I have regret was to ignore a lot of altcoins that I didn't believed because I think they're crap. However, this market just proved that even if a project is crap as long as there are investors and traders contribute to its liquidity, the value of it will still have a way to increase.

What you meant to say is that altcoins are important because they can make a profit, much more than bitcoin can. But altcoins are always a risk if we are talking about little known projects. But I think that altcoins are important because they create competition in the market. Every year there are more and more advanced blockchains and that's a good thing.

This is my first time of making post in this altcoin discussion section, I've never really taken any interests in it, all my focus has been in only bitcoin related topics, also some bits of off topics. Maybe the reference to altcoins as "shitcoins" in this forum, further reduced my interest in engaging in it's discussions. From my little knowledge of atcoins, I know that they're alternative coins, and we have many of then, also that some don't stand the test of time and dies eventually. This reason should discourage people from holding altcoins, compared to bitcoin that has stood strong and it's adoption is increasing everyday.

Although i have limited knowledge about altcoins, but if people still finds them profitable to buy and hold, then it can be worth investing in. The only thing is for a buyer to be very informed cautious to know which altcoins to buy, since we have many of them, unlike bitcoin that have assurance of availability and trust that it won't diminish one day.

For profitability reason. And don't generalize all of it since there are good altcoins to hold, its just those newly created altcoins do that public sale,exchane listing then dump and turn scam. We need to avoid such scheme so its better sell fast than selling late then dump it up even if we already lose at 95% in value.

If we don't want this to happen we can also try to hold bitcoins since this could give us much better pace than any other alts out there.

Of course we can make a profit through altcoins cause not all are scams even though some altcoins is for Short term then still we can make a profit. But before we invest in them we need to do our own research cause not all altcoins are good enough, there are many scams or dead altcoins.
And for what they said above that when the price is low we will buy and sell If it will up then it's hard to do that in altcoins cause we can not predict when it comes.

Altcoins are cheap, you can accumulate whole lot of 'em even with your limited budget. The most common strategy I use is buy and hodl sometimes I do trades but I am not good at it. Bitcoin is worth $34,798.60 as of this post so if you have limited budget, you can only have portions not the whole coin. Altcoins always follow Bitcoins trend that is why some investors got much profit when they bought in times Bitcoin has crashed.

Every person has own thoughts some find altcoins as a beneficial and on the other hand who have not get anything from altcoins will consider it bad therefore everyone talks about coins according to their experience. All altcoins are not bad some of them can give you huge return but as lots of new scam coins arises therefore people lost their trust in altcoins. Sol is a good coin for long term holding and it also depends on you that how long you keep your coin.

In halving as bitcoin will increase in price other coins will also increase because of the relationship of price between bitcoin and altcoins so hold a good coins that has surety to give you return. Do not think that newly born coin can give you profit because it has no guarantee and no has ever taken profit from it. Ethereum and Matic are good candidates in providing you profit so someone wants to invest in altcoins then choose wisely because all altcoins are not guaranteed.

Because altcoin is part of the system nwo , admit it that Bitcoin will never function to serve the whole world alone so we need altcoin to help for people ,
and also with how huge bitcoin price now , how could we expect to purchase ? so there is altcoin for our good investment outcome.

But? there is always a But and this is never invest in shitcoin , or if you wanted just take a risk but with small amount only.

Buying Dip and selling high is also a good strategy , only if you know how to find when and where.

Anti Altcoin says they have no future , but the truth is everything has future but for those who really wanted for future and not an easy money making plans.
