Maybe it's just the profits people make or simply believing in the technology the project runs on, or about some hype about the trends that happen around each bull cycle market. The altcoin environment is full of things to choose from but it's clear that buying anything doesn't always bring us good results, the way I look at the competition and purge projects over time to stay potential projects are the ones where altcoins operate.

The manor reason for those investing in altcoin is for the gain because those scam tram always promise them $1000 on the $20 investment within a short time, and since some of them once pumped and dumped at some point it then turn out that those investors are trying to take a short at them whether they be lucky not to be caught in the web.

While some are lucky to cash out on the team when the pump happens but also some are unlucky to pull out before the dumped also.

So for me, altcoin is not a good investment choice most especially for a long term base.

Trending hype in the short term and it offers great returns and risk of loss for the staunch investor, I personally see that we have literally thousands of different altcoins but few of them are proven to be. demonstrate value and functionality in the crypto space. And nearly every altcoin is tied to the trend of btc, so without the skills of analysis and evaluation as well as the process of investing in the market, altcoins are not the way we stick to our assets for long if not subject to change. I am always optimistic and confident with this market, so the long-term view with btc, then can switch to altcoins through price movement cycles to balance profit and risk.

I thought you dislike altcoin? Then why you are giving us that suggestion? But anyway the truth is that there are also legit altcoins. These alts are worth it to HODL for a long time obviously because it can give us a great income in the future and buying and holding is also a way of showing a support to the creator of those altcoins.

Your suggestion is still good only for the altcoins which are only good at the start because maybe this was only their goal and they don't plan to develop their alt and try more harder. Legit altcoins are important because they supply the missing features that people are looking for in Bitcoin. Alts help in the adoption of crypto or in Bitcoin so I wouldn't hate them.

In theory altcoins should have many different functions, for example bitcoin has become such an important and influential project that it cannot longer test new features as it did on the past, so altcoins were supposed to be the perfect environment in which ideas could be tested against the real world and we could see if they worked or not, but when the majority of altcoins are copies of other coins and the majority of them are created by scammers, then as expected the enthusiasm over altcoins has been decreasing among the senior members of the community.

We have the Altcoins seasons, where these coins hits their All time high price, we just need to have good entries in the market. Altcoins are important because of the massive pump and dips it triggered, only the smart traders and investors are opportune to generate profits from these altcoins. I've lost counts on the times Altcoins saved me and my portfolio during the period bitcoin and Ethereum crashes significantly, I thought all hope were lost, I just forget that I bagged GMT which pump massively and tend to raise up my portfolio from liquidation.

How would we have improvements then? Crypto world is filled with alts that are not needed I agree with that, but there has been some alts that improved the blockchain world. All those ICO's and IEO's back in the day started a rush, and now the most recent one was DeFi and NFT for example, or metaverse, or play to earn, those were all improvements on what we already had.

This is why it is quite near impossible to have a bitcoin without having alts as well. Those things improve the blockchain world and what can be done with it and you need to accept that we need some of them otherwise it's just not going to work. I know that people are not excited about it as much as they could be, but we need to accept the terrible ones along with the good ones in order to continue.

People with common sense will able to make differentiate between the scam token and non scam token. The fact that if so many altcoins are exists in the market but many of them being made for money grabber only.
I can't deny that if developers are using altcoins as a way to get money as fast as possible. This is also making the token can also be used as a way to get money through listing it and then dump it.

I have the same strategy, buy and run fast after profits. But the purpose is different, it's not for revenge because I am an investor too after buying it, but that is just the way it is when it comes to altcoins.
They have a higher risk than most popular coins in the market so you just have to be wise and just be satisfied even if the profits ain't that high. Last a couple of years if I remember the date right, I bought Shiba Inu and doubled my money in the process in just a small amount of time. Afterward, the price increased more due to the hype, it tripled and more but I never went back just to ride it again because that will be a risky move. I got over it and looked for a new investment that would luckily have the same ending.
There will be mistakes in timing the right selling point but as long as there's profit be happy with it. Move on, create something new.

Altcoins are very important in the market because they give us an alternative to investing in the cryptocurency market than just investing in bitcoin. Some days Bitcoin loses its high volatility as there's no movement in the price that gives investor good profits but altcoins can give good profits in those months and that's why they're important.
Altcoins also bring many things to the industry like how Ethereum brought smart contract that has been used in building many decentralized applications and other altcoins has things they're working on that Bitcoin can't do. Bitcoin is only a currency but altcoins have different functions that make the industry very interesting.
Stablecoin which is also an altcoins helps us in keeping the profits we have made from the market very secured. Without stablecoin it would had been hard to keep profits we made. Many exchange could have found it difficult to get approval to use fiat currency but with stablecoin that are on the blockchain, it makes it easier for them.

Let's be honest here, some altcoins are really helpful for the current crypto market to pump but this is not the case for some others that are used to scam people especially those pump-and-dump coins that are only created to be like that and their owners leave it once they already get some enough money from their victims. But the worse side effect has been causing the right altcoins to slowly get some potential investors right now because of their pasts experiences with altcoins.

It's important because each coin has their own purpose and utility, although 99% of the altcoins are purely garbage coins.

The real altcoins that has a purpose and utility are Monero as a privacy coin and DAI as a decentralized stablecoin, the rest are just copycat, centralized and have nothing to contribute except make the developer rich.

Someone can make some good profit through altcoins, but it pretty much like gambling.

That is really the strategy for altcoins nowadays buy dip and then sell if the price increases to be able to generate profit. A lot of investors do take advantage of the dip and dump it once it hit their target price. If the scenario of most investors the altcoin project will tend to end as scam. But of course there are also altcoin projects that has a good potential in the market with a clear timeline and very good support. It is better to do a research first before investing to any altcoin so that you will not regret your investment.
