There are different kinds of people and most of them are the likes of what OP's mentioned, I have experienced this when I'm trying to teach some people who want to be involved in crypto space but they are not really determined to learn and the only thing on their mind is how to earn money that is why I only teach people now which I think would be really interested to know about crypto.
Have any one try throwing these questions to people of nowadays? (who wants to learn?) the fact is many people don't want to learn, the moment you start trying to teach them one or two things you will see them walking away, lol but if you ask them if they want to earn money they will quickly give you their total attentions or even drag a nearby chair to sit and listen

We all have topics that we dislike and we shall ignore it as soon as we see it.
People will always read what interests them even if it is a long article provided it is their topic of interest, money making ideas top the list of what people are interested in reading worldwide.

People tend to read what interest them
But money also serves as motivation to those who have little or no interest in something.
Reward can motivates people to read boring stuff. Carrot and "stick" approach can also get people to learn quickly especially if they know why they are being penalized.
Well... it is not very surprising... people are ready to learn new things whey they are in their teens and 20s. But after that, the eagerness to learn decreases. I am saying this from my own experience. And once you are in to the 30s, then it takes much more effort to learn something, as the brain gets slower and our capabilities start declining.
this statement is very true, not only in crypto, but almost all fields of business also have people like this. the answer is simple, so many people who want to get huge profits without working hard. sometimes they see the income that other people make seems so big, and because of that, they feel that they can produce it without learning it, and most of the results they give up before getting anything, even some of them are exposed to a fairly severe scam.
I don't believe that they hate learning. They are just not interested with what we're offering to them. Because if you really want something, you'll work hard for it. Why they lack interest is because they lack idea on what is crypto and bitcoin and how it can help us. I know people who are willing to learn bitcoin... I think it's just the matter of introduction. They might just fear changed or the risk crypto offers, some are too Conservative in investing they prefer to save in banks and preserve their capitals than lose some and wait for the volatility market, some may get jealous or envy on others achievement but they don't have the ability to overcome what they fear, maybe they think that they are contented in their lives now that's why.

not hate or lazy to learn, but everyone has limited abilities and if people are lazy to learn maybe they already have enough knowledge to do their activities. with the exception of people who are entirely new to crypto I think they are 100% learning, like self-taught learning, through their closest relatives or learning through reference sources on the crypto site etc ... basically everyone will do something as they wish.
I don't think people have lost the interest on learning and education field because even in this time someone might be in the school and in different country and learn something.

Thus is a real mystery you know. These days people are lazy to sit their butts down and go by the painful way of doing their own research. Rather they would want to rely solely on the assessments of people hence being spoon fed all the time. This is what mostly get crypto noobs scammed. For instance MEW has guidelines as to how to make transactions yet someone would ask in a public group how this is done and scammers use this to lure them away. Lets' all cultivate the habit of learning how to do stuffs when guidelines are provided

In my practice there were and are many acquaintances to whom I explained and showed everything 100 times, and they again 101 times ask them to help and tell what and how. As for deception, it is just such people who are being fought for all sorts of scammers, since there is no one's opinion and thinking. In this situation, either help them all the time, which is not an option, or they themselves must get to the condition and understand that they need all this, and not someone else. Newer generation has less curiosity as they mostly gets things that are already made up.

Money is almost a fascination with people nowadays, and i also think like you, they're often lazy, but investing in a lot of profits is in their knowledge, they're just lazy, that' s why people are now.
I think the reason why a lot of people hates learning because most people wanted to earn money easily that they can't find a way to earn money for them to buy the things that they wanted such as new phones, earphones, laptops and other technologies, that is why most people that i have encounter who ask me about earning cryptocurrency always gives up because they don't have any intention to learn about it that there only intention is to earn money.
They are too busy on their social life and they forget to keep learning always, millennials are too focus on social media and they don’t have time to adopt new things and there’s a big resistance for them to reject any form of investments. People today don’t hates to learn, they just go with the flow and didn’t even bother to ask any question. Learning cryptocurrency is the best right now, hope they see this one.
I think it's best that we talk about making money first and once we see that we get their attention we will tell the ways and how they can understand how to make money in bitcoin. And if they understand this they will find it easier to learn that they are really serious about learning to make money. And if they are still not interested, this is not our problem anymore, the important thing is that we have made it our responsibility to educate people on bitcoin so that they have awareness .
They probably hate learning because it slaps the reality inside of them that earning money these days isn't easy, you need to work hard and do some effort to achieve your goals. I don't really understand the reason why people used to disregard the opinion and thoughts of others, they don't understand that it can help them to make wise decisions and give them knowledge that they can use in every situations. Well we have to understand that we have different level of perception maybe they just don't appreciate the little things that we do for them or even if they do, they just choose not to acquire it.
