Yes, could be but the main reason why rape cases are continously increasing is because rapist/suspects are not receiving proper corrective actions like being sentenced to death or lethal injection. Most government are becoming more lenient when it comes to rape cases which is not fair for the victim.

Look what's happening to social media. For one reason or another, its getting a lot of bad publicity lately. Once social media is reduced to a fraction of its size, rapes will be on the rise again. But we'll never know it, because the number of cases prosecuted will remain the same or drop. Why will they drop? Rape cases are increasing, but rapes are decreasing.

Why are rapes decreasing? Because more rapists are being caught. The others are becoming scared that they will be caught. So they rape less or not at all.

Better forensics, plus all the smartphone videos, are bring the number of rapes way down, at the same time they are increasing the rape cases.

Its not only lust that causes the rape increase in this world. Its just one of the reason , the intake of illegal drugs is also one of the reason why there are many rape cases that has been occured. In our country also have many crimes regarding rape cases because of the use of illegal drugs , once a person use illegal drugs their mind is like looking for something that they can have their body heat to comes out. That is the time rape is going on . They even molested children.

Drug addiction is one of the cause. There are lots of reasons why there are rape cases. Of course, one of the major cause is the persons psychological problem, no person in the right state of mind would even force a sexual act. Another thing is opportunity, some times girls think that it's okay to go out at night, they should always make sure that they are always safe.

Some reason of increasing rape cases are due to addiction to drugs, excessive drunkenness that push them to do such crimes. Because of this they do not know that they have committed a dreadful sin like rape.
