I think a lot of people did not take the time to understand what it is. But, in the coming years, more people will be introduced to it and more people will support it.
If they understand what Bitcoin is, what the decentralization means, and the freedom that comes with it, they will change their thinking 
Because they do not know what is cryptocurrency. Do not know what is bitcoin. They are afraid of losing money when investing in bitcoin 
There are still a lot of people who resist or do not trust bitcoin and what I think is - it's because of the security risk, and because they can not own bitcoin 
Because, many people believe that bitcoin will collapse in the near future... 
Because of one reason they really don't know about bitcoin they don't have any idea how bitcoin works and what are the benefits that can get from it.They just rely on what they are watching or what they heard from other people.
In my opinion, people against bitcoin because they think that it's just a scam only. Or maybe they don't have enough knowledge about crypto, so I think this can be the reason why other people against bitcoin.
Exactly, they really do not have enough information and credibility needed from Bitcoin, and the government is also spreading inaccurate information, it made many people suspicious and made them increasingly distrust bitcoin. In addition, we can see that it is being used by some bad people and brought into society to scam, the news on the tv has said a lot of scams involving bitcoin, this evidence is so clear, good reputation is too little but bad news is too much, it makes people against Bitcoin instead trust
We all know that there's a lot of people are against in bitocin because they are so insecure and they hate it because they think that the bitcoin is worthless and they didn't know the value of bitcoin is huge now but we cannot blame them if they hate it maybe they're lack of information about bitcoin and they're creating a site like ponzi scheme to scam people
People against bitcoin because they lost their trust from it .Some people against bitcoin because they have bad experience from it. Maybe they just have scam on a network investment site or the money that they invest is not earning profit but their profit is loss. Every people have a strategy on how they can finish or achieve what they want..
I'm trying to understand why are so many people against bitcoin? is it the innovation that scares them? the feeling of staying behind? the fact that that money will go to the wrong hands?
Many people against Bitcoin because they didn't know what the benefits of Bitcoin or they didn't understand it and people have a tendency that they hate those thing which they doesn't understand. Another reason is its volatile nature. Due to this many investors looses their hope upon Bitcoin and turns against it. Bitcoin slow transaction process is also a reason behind this. Many bank owner and banking related people hate bitcoin because it directly affect their bank profit. 
So many people have never used bitcoin, they are just talking based on what they heard on the TV and are not well informed. You would be surprised by the number of people who think bitcoin is a ponzi scheme.
They don't know the details about bitcoin, or they can't get bitcoin or they do not know how to produce bitcoin for free, so I think it's very unethical to vilify bitcoin.
Probably a good combination of both TBH.
My friends/family are mostly familiar with BTC now (thanks to me!) but it's my kids who are the biggest supporters.
My wife says they are too young to grasp the concept of financial responsibility and she claims they just enjoy reaping the benefits with me
many of those "many people" you see are not against bitcoin. they are actually heavily invested in it but they pretend otherwise. someone who is spreading FUD in 99% of the times wants the price to drop so he can either short bitcoin or because he has some buy orders placed ahead of time at certain low prices.
i honestly can not think of anybody who does not benefit from bitcoin! even banks that some people say are against bitcoin or bitcoin is against them are happy about bitcoin. not only bitcoin introduced blockchain technology to them to improve their business but also it has opened up new ways for banks to make money. banks are in fact making a lot of money because of bitcoin, all these traders are using banks to handle their money transfers and there are lots of them

Well that's one kind of people. There are others who don't since they are afraid to try new things especially the old ones nowadays since the impact of the news they heard in TV.
Maybe people always say negative about bitcoin because they can't believe what bitcoin have become they are jealous on it or maybe because they regret on not trusting bitcoin many years ago now they see how successful bitcoin are, or maybe because they hear some fake news about bitcoin its very popular in facebook and twitter and some people spread fake news about it and because some people use bitcoin to scam other people and some criminals use it in some illegal transactions.
Many people against bitcoin because bitcoin is a online currency.Many online currency are scam in a recent years.Bitcoin not any government currency.No country control it.Bitcoin control by the online.Many crime and bad news against bitcoin in newspaper and many more online site like Facebook,Twitter,YouTube etc.So this is the reason of against many people in bitcoin.One of the major problem is bitcoin price ups and down.In this reason many people hate bitcoin.....

Based on some people that I've been hearing talking about bitcoin, they do not know what really Bitcoin is. In our country, there are a lot of people that is being scammed because of the ponzi schemes and they are using Bitcoin the reason a lot of people are saying that it is a scam in which the truth is the people behind it was the one who scammed them and just use Bitcoin as an escape plan.

ordinary people who can not accept rapid development, many people are not against bitcoin because they are people who are very enthusiastic about the development of modern times. I think this is very amazed because we can invest and even transact in some places for bitcoin and do not need cash for transactions.

Most people have been misinformed about Bitcoins, there are lots of negative news and information about BTC with governments cautioning people against its use. this has made more people uneasy about BTC
