I received another scam call yesterday, it's becoming too frequent. Has anyone been scammed before? How much money did you lose?
There are too many scams because it's probably a lucrative business for criminals because if business is not good they'd have closed shop. The fact is that there are a lots of ignorant people who keeps falling for their tricks, that is the major reason that I can think of why scams are on the increase They leverage on people's ignorance and greed to scam them, if you understand how most scammers operate, you'll simply ignore their enticements. There are always red flags that will be glaring people in the face but because they're determined to get quick money, they'll fall for the scammers. Simple things to avoid, don't click on sites that you're not familiar with even if they're from your loved ones and never believe any get rich quick scheme.

The situation has always been like this in all environments where there is a lot of money, we are human and our nature is to take advantage of the weakest people, fortunately not all are like this and there are also honest people, so more than saying that the forum is full of people who cheat I would say that the world is like this

haven’t we all been scammed one way or another? through wrong products to misleading promos we’ve all been there and it’s starting get difficult for us to track how much we have lost

to answer your question why are there so many scams? is simply because life is getting a lot harder and we are not getting any richer and people are simply desperate to earn money no matter what the way was

I have gratefully lost no money to scammers, and I want to keep it that way forever. If you ask why there are so many scammers and scams out there, I believe it is quite obvious: there are too many people willing to give up on their moral integrity for the sake of money, because they do not know better, they don't know any other way of life which would be healthier than that.
Poverty, war, lack of education, lack of jobs and other factors contribute to people to try to find easier and faster ways to get money fast, in detriment of other who are gullible enough. .
The greed and crave of people towards easy and fast ways of making money has also helped in encouraging more and more scam activities and schemes to find success within the ecosystem. Perhaps if people could want to always take the right path and with critical research about every newly presented projects and offers  the growing rate of scams and scammers will drastically reduced.

I actually don't have room for excuses for getting into scam as means of survival or the victims who for greed to short cut to making money when they could ordinarily patiently take advantage of available legit options like bitcoin and other investment assets to build their future.

.... If you want to avoid scams, don't pay attention to people who tries to entice you that your money will rise within a short period of time.
...

It is easy to ignore strange offers of investments and schemes which are said to be able to multiply our money in a relatively short period of time, when those offers come from people who are strangers to us and we had never interacted with, though if you take a look at the way modern Ponzi schemes and piramid schemes work, you should see how those at the very top of the scam use the credibility of the participants/victims themselves for them to invite their family and friends to put their money in the scheme. That is why I have at least once seen a friend of mine inviting others to "invest" in what clearly was a ponzi, and in my opinion that is one of the most dangerous features of those type of scams, the way the put family members and friends against one another, after the scheme falls under its own weight...

Yeah, i have fallen to scam severally in the past when i didn't have much knowledge about the internet but when i came across discussions about scamming strategies that scammers use to target their victims, i become more wiser and don't pay much attention to those who advertise scam schemes of doubling your money or making an investment with a platform whereby your money will be increasing to a certain amount when you can be able to withdraw your profits. If you want to avoid scams, don't pay attention to people who tries to entice you that your money will rise within a short period of time.

I can't really sum up how much i have lost to scam in the past but i have lost a whole lot of money and it made me become more smarter because i have now come across so many scamming methodologies but i didn't fall to any and afterwards i discovered they are scams.

Scam has always been in existence and it is not an act that is new. Their are some people who believe in scam and sees it as the only means which money can be generated. I don't see any reason why scam or scammers you meet frequently seems to be strange to you, this is something we'll known as far as the earth is concerned. You just need to be very vigilant  because they come in a way that if you are not careful you will so  believe what they have to offer to be real. Be conscious and see every stranger to as suspect of scam, and always have that awareness of scam, I think with this it will be so difficult for to fall for it.

Scams attempts are everywhere and very frequent right now. I also receive a dozen of scam emails daily about different subjects attempting to make me click a malicious link and infect my device. Scammers are acting through mass spam to reach most people as possible in a short time interval. Of course most of the attempts fail, but they still profit from the minority who click their links and give them access to accounts in different platforms and personal documents.

The reason why the scam attempts are increasing so much is due to the fact people don't have ethics nowadays anymore. Since the world is corrupted, they feel in the right of being corrupt as well, claiming it's a mean of survival among the chaos. Although it's partially true, people shouldn't give up on living in the right manner, without cheating and taking advantage of each other.

it happens because the government is only interested in massacring us with taxes, locking us up in limited areas for presumed deadly diseases and forcing us to take vaccines that we don't want to take
after all, gambling, prostitution, scammers, they don't give a damn about anything.

In my opinion basic financial education should be mandatory in developing countries, so scammers do not further take advantage of the people who are the most vulnerable to greed and dreams of financial growth.

I support the idea of basic financial education for everyone, this will somewhat reduce fraud as people become more knowledgeable. But as I said, I think the root of fraud is greed and poverty. So if everyone has a stable job and income, everyone has a comfortable life plus basic financial knowledge then surely scam will be significantly reduced.

Therefore, in addition to supplementing financial education, the government should also promote improving the economy and people's lives. From there, we can expect scams to be significantly reduced and more easily controlled.

Scam is always rampant in this industry because it is an industry that permits that people can easily be scammed;
Scam is however more popular and rampant during the end of year because of the season's celebrations;
Scams always at the high rate during the bull run season also;
If you are scammed, reveal the scam method so that others can learn and avoid it. That is the most efficient way to fight scam. If one method is bursted, it takes them so long to device another method.

Scamming has become a every day routine. Young people no longer want to hustle, they want it fast, people involved in criminal activities just to make ends meals. I can recall once I nearly fall into there trap but thanks to God I escaped it, I received a call and the guy claimed he was calling from my bank that I should sent all details that suspected transactions is going on in my account an I sent them everything, it was later I realized it was fraudsters then I quickly call my customer care for them to block my account.

People are suckers. A good scammer can make a lot of money. You can easily see that this is true by looking at the number of people who believe their politicians.

But you're right, the number and types of scams will increase and become more sophisticated. Because looking at what is happening in the world, it is easy to see that more and more people are becoming lazy, especially the younger generation. They are lazy to work but always want to have the life of rich people.

Ironically, as the number of lazy and greedy people continue to be this steady or even grow I don't think scams will need to get much more sophisticate. Actually, there are scammers who continue to go with the easiest of the tricks in the book ans offer the victims the same "double your money" scams the the typical unseasoned ponzi schemes, they continue to fall for it, so sophistication is not necessary for scammers to continue to make profit, unless they go for specific targets in spear fishing.

All I have said is specially true about people from countries where no financial education is given to children, to young adults or even the elderly and they all end up falling for the same ponzi schemes, whose creators are usually from India and Asia.
In my opinion basic financial education should be mandatory in developing countries, so scammers do not further take advantage of the people who are the most vulnerable to greed and dreams of financial growth.

Shortly - because there is too many idiots who have too much money and they're ready to give it away with easy hand. Sorry if it looks a bit offensive. But as long as there will be people who will fall into it, scammers is going to make it. Some people just prefer to get easy money in such way, instead hard working.
And I guess that number of scams will continue to increase. With help of AI scamming becomes easier and you can create more sophisticated things with it.
Personally I didn't noticed increase in attempts to scam me - I just learned not to pay attention to such messages.

As long as there are still many greedy, lazy people who do not want to work hard and just want to get rich quickly, scams will never go away. Scams would not exist and we would never be cheated if we did not have greed. So instead of just blaming the scammers, we should find ways to control our greed and if we do so, we will never fall into those silly traps.

But you're right, the number and types of scams will increase and become more sophisticated. Because looking at what is happening in the world, it is easy to see that more and more people are becoming lazy, especially the younger generation. They are lazy to work but always want to have the life of rich people.

If you are getting too many scam calls, I would recommend you to switch your Telefon number or use some features of Google to block spam/scam calls, usually it works well when we talk about getting those annoying calls on Android devices.

Many for sure have lost their money to scams specially the newbies. Our data, phone numbers, emails and other details have been recorded already and passed on many scammers and we're part of their big database. And that's why the most important details that we have shouldn't be published in the public. While there can also be a victim blaming on this part, greed is the reason why many are keep on falling for these scams even the not-so newbies.
