I firstly came here to this form in order to learn everything about Bitcoin , mining, and many more. But later on I know that through this form we not only learn about cryptocurrency but also we can earn some handsome money through different things. Like participating in Bounties of newley launch project, as well as participating in Signature campaign of different project and also one of my favorite which is selling service like providing services of creating signature codes for project and also exchanging funds of users and many more.
I am here to learn.
There are a ton of old school plebs who have been in Bitcoin for a decade or longer and they have a lot of knowledge to pass along. For example, Satoshi's original posts are on here.
I am also on here to help educate. Those who have come before me have been incredibly helpful on my journey down the bitcoin rabbit hole. I am here to help others along their journey as well.
I am reminded of a Bruce Lee quote/paraphrase "Research your own experience; absorb what is useful, reject what is useless and add what is essentially your own."

Your wish is really good, but if you want to enrich your knowledge about cryptocurrencies. You can read it on many trusted sites while learning the forums gradually, because then you can train yourself better when you are in the forum and can make a better contribution to the forum as you want it. I got to know this forum after trading and it was a suggestion from a friend. After some time I was here, I got a lot of information about crypto faster. In fact I open this site more often than the Coindesk web or cointelegraph or other crypto-related websites. In other words a lot of useful information from here. We can compare what we know with others and that is very helpful in making decisions. Although I am currently enrolled in a BTC paid campaign it is a bonus for me. It made me even more eager to be useful in the forum.

we all here actually have almost the same interests and goals - that is to invest in the right projects and make money from these projects or the bounties that are spread in this forum. even though you lost $1000 because you invested your money wrongly in an HYIP project but you didn't give up and that amazed me at you. failure is part of learning, keep the spirit and don't give up on losses in the past. 
You can recovery your loss here in Bitcointalk forum, don't shy with your level account still newbie because all people have the same chance reach their account at higher level until Legendary. I am sorry with your loss in cryptocurrency investment, I have been in your position but all my capital used for trading and investing coming from Bounties campaign and spent half bounties payment for investing assets.

Briefly describe the forum, we can say that this forum is not about how to make money with cryptocurrencies. This forum is about how not to lose them.
This is something I have learned here and am grateful for this opportunity of knowing this forum. This place has revealed so many different ways scammers get their victims and some times it is not even because the scammers use spells but because of the foolishness and greed of the victims that gets them into troubles. Except for those who are not ready to learn who will not find this place helpful if their only aim is to earn from bounties. This is a super forum.
I'm sorry for your loss. it's all a learning process, and I believe that with this experience you will be more successful later.

So for the newbies like me, why did you join bitcointalk.org?
For me I would say because of its diversity. I have been a member of the altcointalk community for quite some time now and during some discussions there I noticed that some altcointalk users are always mentioning Bitcoin talk so I decided to create an account here to see how it really looks like and to be sincere since I have been here even if I'm not that active here I can boldly say that all the features that were mentioned in altcointalk about bitcointalk is just so correct. Here you have users that have a vast knowledge about Bitcoin and some of them have been around since the creation of Bitcoin. all those out together are some of the reasons why I'm here today at bitcointalk.

and tips for you all guys my account was hacked because I'm using the same password and email for multiple accounts. AND DON'T DO THAT. use a unique password for other account, especially for bitcointalk since forum account is very valuable here

High Yield Investment Program is biggest scamming business and I don't thinks this gonna stop soon. I usually still get the DM from Unknown people that can give me a profit huge return. Please don't fall for that and keep educate yourself.
Me personally join bitcointalk because of curiosity I joined back in 2014 ago just to know more about the crypto world and ended up as a bounty hunter like now. the signature campaign and Translation give me good money back 2016 ago

Honestly, when I was told about this forum,I didn't know that it was mainly to educate people on the knowledge of Bitcoin and crypto currency on the whole.Since I was very good at reading and writing,I knew I was going to gain much if I should be one part of this community,so I decided to join the community,and since then,I can say I know so many things about Crypto now,how I can invest,trade and many more things I know now in crypto.
I also know I haven't known all I'm supposed to know,I'm still eager to know more about everything in crypto that's why I'm still here.

I vividly remember back in 2013/14 there was an Indian forum named ethicalhavoc. Members used to talk about Bitcoin there, by searching about it stumbled upon here.
